Hoop Dee Doo seating???

Can anyone tell me what the seating is like and where it would be generally located for a party of 8? We made ressie's for Jan 2004 for a party of 8, but I don't wan to get stuck in the back! Should we split into 2 groups of 4 nad ask for tables next to each other? Do they have seating for 8 in the front?? Just wondering . THANK YOU!

They do have seating for eight near the front. Problem you face is that you don't get choice of seating and what you get apparently but not surely has something to do with how far you reserve in advance (and people can reserve up to two years in advance) and then how many days in advance you actually purchase your tickets once you get there.. Splitting the group won't really increase or decrease your luck in getting near the front.

Ya know, it's interesting, when the ressie's were made the CM told us taht payment was due 3 weeks in advance. Has anyone ever heard of that?

I believe party of 8+ has to go through Group Dining and thus has different rules for when payment is required.

In front of stage center is table for two.DW and I usally get that one we make our reservations for HDDR first part of December a year ahead of time. The table behind us stage center for last 12 years anyway has always had a large group,last year a party of 8 adults and four children were seated there and they had great time.Good luck!!!!!

I heard about this show but have no idea what it is. Can someone give me a review? Also, how expensive are the tickets?

About $50 per adult.

We had a group of 12 last time. We reserved eight months in advance and I paid right when I reserved. We were seated about 1/3 of the way back from the stage on the right hand side. It was perfect.

We always reserve far in advance, Usually more than eight months. I was worried last time that because I only reserved eight months in advance, I may not get floor seats. Luckily, we were staying AKL concierge for that trip. The concierge CM was able to call over to the HDD place and tell me exactly where we would be sitting. She did this about six months in advance.

I had never heard that anything was dependent on when your tickets were paid for. I try to pay for anything I reserve right when I reserve it. I just find it easier.

Somewhere in the front of this site they have a good review and description of HDD. Also at Deb's site, wdwig.com, also at mouseplanet, searches on google will actually come up with individual threads on this site and others that talk about HDD.

The Hoop-De-Show show is awesome! We've been going to this show since the late 70's and just about the only thing to change is the cast! However, we love it! It is very upbeat and so much fun. The key is to reserve your tickets as far in advance as possible because your seating is based on when you reserved your tickets!

I recently booked for November and I asked the CM where we were likely to be sitting. He said that seats are allocated not when you book but when you pick up your tickets which can be up to 7 days in advance. Don't know whether that's right or not but that's definitely what I was told - the computer allocates seats as the tickets are issued not ordered.

I also just reserved for November and since we are 8 people plus an infant, we were booked through Group reservations. I had to call three times because our group size kept changing. They sounded to me as though the actual tables were being re-selected each time. We were also told payment was due 3 weeks before the show. Maybe the group tables are assigned at time of reservation and parties of less than 8 are assigned at time of ticket pick-up?
