Hoop Dee Doo seating chart discrepancy- Which one is correct?

I booked a 4 pm category 2 Hoop Dee Doo for my trip (ADR + 4 days when booked) because I plan to use two TS credits on the DDP+ plan, however I have thought about just paying out of pocket because of the small difference in price from category 2 to 1.

My issue is that there are two different seating charts on Disney's website. The first one is before you book your reservation and is located on the Hoop Dee Doo page:

491598
The second seating chart is located after you choose your time of show and is within the actual reservation:

491599
As you can see, the second image shows that category 2 gets a lot closer to the stage compared to the first image. Since I booked so early, my hope is that the second image is correct and we will be seated on the floor fairly close to the stage. If the first seating chart is correct, I may want to book a category 1 and pay out of pocket. I wanted to see if any one here knows which seating chart is correct.

Thank you!

We went in January of 2019. We booked category 2. We sat pretty much where the number 1 is located in the first picture. We were in front of the overhang from the balcony. They also had nobody on the balcony. So maybe if they aren't full they just put everyone down below. I don't know what the usual seating situation is though since we've only been that once.

When we have gone it was always the second diagram. We usually get 1st but once booked category 2 and were seated pretty close to the stage at a table along the side.

Your second diagram is correct. Seating is assigned based on when you make your reservations, and how many made reservations for the same day, time and category. We were seated and paid for category one and the "row" behind us was category two.

if you have ever been, the show counts on audience participation so regardless of where you sit, the show can be seen from every where. The show doesn't only perform on the stage.

The second seating chart is correct. We always sit in Category 2 and have usually been seated at a four top on the left front of the category when facing the stage. Great view and often the players stood right near those tables still in character while it wasn’t their turn to be on the center stage.

Should we do Hoop-De-Doo on our last day in WDW - s non-park day ?

If it fits into your schedule, definitely. They have three shows: 4 - 6 and 8:30 pm. The dinner show is at least two hours long. Just make sure you have plenty of time for getting to and from. It is at Ft. Wilderness in Pioneer Hall. If using Disney transportation allow 90 minutes each way.

Bus to Magic Kingdom - Boat to Ft. Wilderness
Hey it will be our last day - we could do our pool, pack our suit cases, then HDD

Or maybe
Bus to MK and boat or monorail to CR to get last minute souvenirs - CR has nice gift shops, or at least they did 8 years ago.
Then walk over to MK and boat to Ft. Wilderness for the HDD at 6 PM

Does the CR have a boat to the Ft. Wilderness campground ?

Yes, there are boats that circles Bay Lake resorts, CR, WL, FW. Just line up where it indicates for the resort you want. You could also do HDDR and then go to CR for souvenirs on your way back to your resort.

Different than Raglan Road, the question on your other post that seemed to have dietary menu concerns.... but both are great and we sure love both.
Again, sure hope you have a great time, pooh2001

I vote yes. Finally did it for the first time on our last trip, and totally loved every minute (and bite) of it. Getting to it is kind of fun, taking the boat then walking to Pioneer Hall. Fort Wilderness is so neat. You feel nicely removed from the hubbub of the parks and other resorts, but it's still very "Disney" in that Frontier/Pioneer/Davy Crockett kinda way, LOL.

The entertainment and food at HDDR are outstanding. Definitely a fun thing to do on your last day.

Thank you for everyone's help with this! Based on most of the responses, I am not as worried as I was before creating this thread.
