We are going for twenty days in Aug/Sept. My travel agent has been absolutely wonderful making ADRs for us and got almost everything we wanted (including Chef Mickey, CRT, Le Cellier, Mama Melrose Fantasmic). However, the only thing that seems a problem is the Hoop Dee Doo Revue between 9/5 and 9/8. Apparently, those dates are pretty much blocked and can not be booked. I was just wondering if anyone has some more info on this? Specifically, I was wondering what the reason for that may be. Is it likely that those days become available later on? Right now, we have an ADR for 9/4 but unfortunately that is the only night we could do MNSSHP so I would really like to move HDDR to a later date. Anyone know why there is such low availability during that period (I don't think it is just due to free dining)?

keep trying. I called at my 90 day point for Aug 10 and i was told it was all booked that day and the days before and day after. I waited a few days and called back -- no problems, i had my choice of dates and times.

Keep calling them back. You never know.

If I remember correctly last year they were closed for a few days in the beginning of Sept.

Thanks everybody. Yes, DisneyWisher, I think that is the problem. It doesn't sound like they are completely booked but rather as if there will be no shows. If that was the same last year, I guess the days won't open up later on.

Too bad, it would have been so much more convenient to visit HDDR during our stay at Fort Wilderness rather than having to transfer there. Oh well, it will work out.

Did you book it anywhere in your trip still or are you just going to be skipping it?

We are booked Sept 6th at 7:15 so there is definitely a show that night.

For now I am hanging on to our reservation on 9/4 but I would much rather change it to a different date. Vgrandy, interesting to hear that you are booked for 9/6. Maybe they are just limiting the number of shows??

I am still hoping that my travel agent will be able to switch it to a different date. If we do get it changed I will let you know.

When we made our adrs on 6/6 we booked HDDR for 9/8 with no problem - I would definitely call back & check again on the dates you're looking for.

If you are on the dining plan, then you are only eligible for category 2 or 3 seating (category 1 is not included in the DDP). That is most likely the problem. It doesn't hurt to keep calling though. I booked CRT, Le Cellier with NO issues, but could not get the HOOP Dee Doo until our last day at WDW.

During the last week of August (and I called 90 days prior), there was only one 5pm seating left - for only 2 people! I have kept calling back (I wanted another day too!).... every couple days.... and for now, there are NO 5pm or 7pm seatings available on the DDP during the last week of August. They do have some 9:30 seatings available, but I would not ask my toddler to do a 9:30pm show.

What I would do, if you can, at least 3 days prior to your 9/4 ADR, show up 45 minutes prior to the 5pm seating and see if you can get a walk-in. I went last year (1st week in September) and a couple people did get a walk-in seating from no-shows. Then cancel (with 48 hours notice) your 9/4 ADR.

Hey!! That's the same day I'm hoping for!! My first choice is the 5pm show, then head over the the Magic Kingdom for their PM EMH.

I would definitely try back, as people are making & cancelling reservations all the time. A co-worker of mine tried for a week to get the CP and nothing. I called for him and was able to get the day & time he wanted. It's just the luck of the draw I guess, but persistance pays off. Best of luck getting your preferred date & let us know if you were able to get it.

i called this morning at 7am right at our 90+10 mark and there is nothing available for Hoop all week, including tier 1 or the 930 show. the CM said to keep calling back as large groups often book dinner shows and then cancel, but i wonder after reading this thread if there are there are just no shows.

Thank you to all of you but especially to Brygida who made me realize that the problem might be the dining plan. We are currently booked with free dining for our Fort Wilderness stay but I am hoping for a room only discount (which should be the better deal as we only have one adult and two kids on the dining plan). Which means I was planning to pay out of pocket for HDDR anyway.

Of course I would have preferred the less expensive seats but the price difference isn't HUGE. Anyway, I asked my travel agent to check for category one seats, she did and WE'VE GOT IT. We now have the 5 pm show on 9/7 which is absolutely perfect (well other than the price )

So again thanks. I would never have thought of this on my own. Now our ADRs are complete and just PERFECT!

How nice! I am glad you got your wish.

Well.... it seems as if HDDR has supplanted CRT as the hot ticket to get for DDP'ers!

i tried again yesterday and was only able to get 9/12, which is the night we ahve our lecellier rezzie

called again this morning and all 3 showings, all 3 tiers were available for 9/8, the orginal night i wanted.

a little odd, but hey, i am happy.

we offically got all the ADRs we wanted:

Tues 715 Hoop
Wed 715 Coral Reef
Thurs CM breakfast at 11:15/Boma dinner at 6:15
Fri 505 dinner at Turf Club before we hear over to MNSSHP
Sat 845 LeCellier

actually, we now have too many and are trying to decide whether we are going to cancell any of them, or if we are just going to pay OOP for CM and one of the other ones.
