Hi! Are there any loud noises in the hoop dee doo revue? Is the keys to the kingdom tour accessible. I read about underground tuunnels during the tour, so I didn't know. I am going there on my honeymoon so is there any special things we can do that are accessible? I have been there but my fiancee hasnt.

Thanks,

Ashley

We are going for our first time November 4th, and can get back to you after the 12th. Is that soon enough?

I was at the hoop de doo about 4 years ago. From what I recall, it is loud (music, the performers talking, etc.), but I don't remember any specific loud noises. Sorry, I've never done the kingdom tour.

I was able to go on the Keys to Kingdom tour with my ECV .
We let them them know I was using an EVC when I booked tour and reminded them the day before.
I was able to take an elevator down in the utilidors and an elevator up to some of the offices upstairs.

The one problem I ran into was our guide asked if I could make it up the stairs for lunch at the Columbia House with the rest of the group.
I guess they would have given me lunch downstairs if I hadn't had my DH help push and pull me up the stairs so I could join the group.

It has been years since I went to the dinner show so I am not much help there.

Your tour guide should have known there is a backstage elevator in CHH which can be used by people in wheelchirs or ECVs.

All the tours are accessible, however advance warning should be given. One time I was on a tour where there were four people in ECVs. Two of us had notified them in advance, the two that had not notified in advance slowed things down as they were not prepared for them.

Re: Loud noises

Yes, the Hoop De Doo Revue can be loud. As a previous poster stated, it is a performance with live music but it isn't deafening. There is one point, however, of sudden loudness that sticks out in my mind because my DD3 practically jumped out of her seat when it happened. When they begin to serve the food, which is served in heavy pewter buckets, the performers are singing a song. Then, at exactly the same time, a server at each table puts one of those pewter buckets down and it makes a resounding thwack! Otherwise, all other noises are fairly consistent with a live performance.

In addition to what the previous post said about plopping the food on the table, the worst LOUD noise is at the end of the show. They hand out washboards and everyone runs their spoons over them. It's BRUTAL. I have very sensitive ears and can barely stand it. The music isn't loud really at all IMO.

All the backstage tours I have been on have been accessible. I have done both Keys to the Kingdom and the BAckstage MAgic tours several times with no problems. Go for it and enjoy.
