Hoop Dee Doo Review worth it?

I've heard so much about this show, but is it really worth the money spent?

Worth EVERY penny and then some. Hoop is the only memory I have as child from our first trip to Disney (I was 5). Since I have gotten married and live locally hubby and I go to Hoop Dee Doo twice a year every year (once for the regular show and once for the Holiday show... they add some Christmas touches). We highly recommend it to everyone it is a lot of fun and the food it good.

I hate to be a big downer, but I thought it was just "okay". The food was fine, the service was fine, the show was okay. I think that it had so many glowing reviews that I expected too much - I thought it was going to be "life changing". I had the same problem when I went to see Blue Man Group, I was left wondering "is that it?"

Or maybe I don't have as good of a sense of humor as I thought.

Weve done it in 2000 and 2002 and loved it both times. The second time I was a bit leary of doing it again because we had short park hours while there and I hated to miss out on park time by doing this one night. However after we did it I commented on how glad I was that we went. Even after seeing it a couple years earlier I still laughed until I cried at the show. We really enjoy the food too. While its not gourmet, for what it is, its really good.
When you factor in all you can eat, drink, and the show, it almost seems like a bargain. You couldnt get that much food and drink(soda, beer, sangria) and tickets to a show for the price you pay at HDD. I think everyone should give it a try.

Good food and some great songs and dancing and slap stick skits.Got picked to be in show one time and had a hoot they gave me picture they took during show and Pioneer Hall Players certificate I got to keep.I wa s Davey's angel and was costumed in pink tutu DW still looks at that picture when she needs a laugh.

YOU TOO?! my dh was davey's angel... pink tutu and halo... toooooooooooooooooooooooo funny!! almost wet my pants! (teehee!) got the certificate right here by my 'puter! LOL!

(now i just have to be bold and ask... do they pick the same 'body type' for davey's angel each time... dh is a big guy, 6'4" tall and well, let's just say he put that tutu to the test!)
