Hi all,

While we are veterans of the Hoop-Dee-Doo, this year, we are going to be meeting up with another family we know, who will happen to be at Disney the same time as us.

Wondering if anyone has ever made separate reservations, yet been able to somehow sit at the same table? We are not staying at the same resort, both using the dining plan, and are arriving at WDW a few days apart from each other. Any ideas or thoughts on this?

Our initial thoughts were to have the person who can make the earliest reservations make them for all of us, but I'm thinking that might present some type of problem, as we are not all staying at the same resort, and also arriving on different days. I guess we can ask them about it when we call, but I was wondering how anyone thinks this might best be handled.

Thanks for any insights!

Rusty's right - if you want it guaranteed that you will sit together at the same table, someone has to make one reservation for the entire party.

Just have one of the party make a reservation for the full number, on the dining plan. The restaurant system does not know or care if all the people on the ADR are staying at the same resort on the same room reservation. However you make the ADR, make sure it will register that the group is on the dining plan, or the person making the ADR will have to pay in full for everybody.

That person will still have to put down a credit card for a no-show fee. If anyone decides they can't go, it will then be necessary to call and have them removed from the reservation.

I just did this earlier this week. We have the dining plan and my DS has his own reservation and the dining plan. I was able to book this for all of us. I did not have to prepay just used my credit card to guarantee the reservations. I did not even have to give them my sons Reservation # just mine. I had it just in case but she said it was not necessary. We will be there May 18th. So excited I love this place and it will be the first time for my son and DIL and 2 grandsons.
Oh also first time for my niece.
