Staying at the Fort next year. Question. Is the Hoop Dee Doo Musical Review a good show for toddlers?

Staying at the Fort next year. Question. Is the Hoop Dee Doo Musical Review a good show for toddlers?

It will be okay for them to attend but they won't understand most of the humor, and might get restless sitting at their table throughout the whole show. I recommend Mickey's Backyard BBQ for toddlers, instead.

how young? We went last year and had my just 2 year old with us and she greatly enjoyed it. If you mean more like a 12 month old or something, might not be as into it

My kids have always loved it! We have been with different ages (as young as 11 months). By 18 months they have been entranced. It helps that we book 180 days out and pay for tier 1 seats so we are super close to the action.

We've taken DS at age 2, 3, and 4 and he's loved it every time. He's actually WAY more attentive at HDDR than at a typical restaurant meal! There's a lot to look at and listen to, even if he doesn't understand the humor. He enjoys the singing too.

We will be going with a 9 month old (too little to care a whole lot), a young 2 year old, and a 4 and a half year old. I'm thinking we should do it!

Well now Im really excited!! Have you done the Mickey BBQ? How do they compare?

Hoop Dee Doo is one of those shows that are fun on multiple levels. There will be innuendo and jokes for the adults that will go over the kids' heads but also lots of fun and silliness that appeals to every age. My son loves Six Bits and I bet any little kid would... pure silliness.

Let's put it this way. My then early teenage son said he would absolutely HATE Hoop Dee Doo because it was stupid, too corny, and it was for "old farts and young kids". By the end of the night, HE grabbed that washboard out of my hands, threw me a tambourine and said "*I* am playing this because you don't know music" and had the biggest smile on his face. He clapped louder and longer than I did.

Hoop Dee Do is for people of all ages so go and enjoy.
