Is it worth 2 TS credits?

How long is the show?

Is the food good?

I know you can take the boat from MK to WL, but does the boat go all the way to the FW or do you have to get off at WL and walk to the FW?

It is a pretty good hike through the woods from WL to FW. We have done it a couple of times and enjoyed it, but you don't have to. The boat will take you right to the dock at FW (a short walk from the show!)
The show with meal lasts at least 1 and a half hours (maybe more??). We did it last December and really enjoyed it. Our youngest child is 8, I would think younger kids may not enjoy it, no characters! My teens loved it, as did dh and I!
The food is corn, fried chicken, cobbler, ect. We really liked it, but it is nothing fancy. I would say the chicken was better than average, nice and crispy. Many folks around here complain about the food. I have no idea what they were expecting, but we had no complaints and left full!
We never do the meal plan, I have no idea if you would consider it worth 2 meal credits, but it is expensive if you pay for it!!

It's insanely popular, but I think the show and the food are absolutely abysmal. I wouldn't tell anyone it's worth going to - but that is my opinion so take it with a grain of salt with the opinions you'll get here.

I wouldn't go near it, except our 10-year-olds love it. The food is just shy of absolutely awful. The entertainment is, well, corny in the extreme. But, to see the kids laughing so hard they can't stop and singing "Hoop de Doo" the next day is worth it -- worth even 2TS!!

We've been 4 times (DH's favorite). The food is okay - fried chicken, ribs, corn, bread, strawberry shortcake. Beer, wine and sangria are included as are softdrinks. The show is corny fun. My DS went at ages 3, 4 and 5 and liked it very much.

As for being worth two credits: it's worth it, but it's not the most optimal use of your credits. You get the "most bang for your buck" using them for menu dinners and not pay one price buffets and such.

Ok I hate to admit this after reading some reviews but my husband (the food snob) and I both liked the food. Four of the kids did not, they are ulta picky. We all enjoyed the show this did concern me when I booked, DH is not the hill billy, cory type and he even thought it was fun, the kids were laughing at all the right spots. I will say that after seeing it one time I do not feel the need to go back again (maybe it wasn't that good after all LOL). THe boat ride over is nice and relaxing, if you do not have a screaming baby in your hand like I did, and the walk up is not far. I belive the show lasted almost 2 hours. As far as the two credits I would have to say that for one night using two it was worth it for us. Have fun.

We decided to not go with the dining plan. So we will be paying for it. We are gonna go for our anniversary dinner. Has anyone celebrated anything there? Did they do anything extra special?

We were there not long ago.
It was nice. But I would not hurry back. The food at the buffet next door is much better. The show -- eh. It just depends on personal preference. It was more musical than corny jokes -- although there was plenty of both.
There was some guest interaction for birthdays and anniversaries.
Actually the guest interaction on stage was the best part. Too bad they don't do more improv than they do. The show would be a lot better.

OMG r u serious? LOL. :rotfl: What kind of dancing? If its a slow dance, that I wont mind, but anything else, forget it! LOL. I dont think I will be telling them its our anniversary. I will tell everyone else, but not them! LOL. :rotfl2: :lmao: :rotfl: Is that all they do or do they do other things as well?

With it being your anniversary they will have you get up and dance as they sing.

It's slow dancing to let me call you sweetheart. They go around to some tables and ask where people are from and make jokes and circulate throughout the crowd.

Oh whew! LOL. Good at least its slow dancing. That I can do! LOL. :rotfl: Just wondering but when I make my ADR should I just tell them then its our anniversary or do they normally just ask at the restraunt like during the show or when u get there or whatever?

Mention it when you make your ADR and then they will ask at the show and just raise your hand high. If I can get some of my video uploaded I can send you some of the show that I have.

That would be great. Would love to see it. Also I read somewhere that they take pics that you can purchase. Do they still do this and how much is it?

do tell them its your anny, its just lovely to see couples dance to this when we go. The show itself is corny!!!! Hillbilly corny, and we have been 6 times and will be there next week, its old fashioned and sweet clean fun, I think the foods decent too, altho we arent picky, just happy campers! LOL

Beware...if u think the small world song gets stuck in your brain.beware! :rotfl:
