My dh, dd 10, and dd 8 will be in WDW this coming spring. We wanted to do a dinner show. We've looked at both menus and would enjoy either. Which would you recommend?

Hoop Dee Do would be our choice. A really fun time. Food is good and the show is great. You're guaranteed to come out of there singing.

Hoop Dee Doo is always our choice. We've done both and SOA was one and done. HDDR is a must do each trip. It is a lot of fun. Just realized this day exactly a week ago, we went to the 4pm show and took the boat back to MK for MNSSHP. Missing it like crazy!!!

And this comes for dessert! Straw and Berry! Strawberry Shortcake!!

Well, now I want strawberry shortcake!!!

Yes, I agree, Hoop Dee Doo. We enjoyed Spirit of Aloha, but the sightlines can be pretty bad (depending on where you are sitting) and the first act is pretty hokey! Hoop De Doo is a lot of fun and Ft. W is such an enjoyable place to visit.

I love Hoop and we've done it so many times. Next trip we're going to try Spirit of Aloha so I hope we leave with a better feeling than I did after Backyard BBQ.

Hi there ! We've done both, (we do the HDDR every trip) and looking at your dd's ages , I would probably do the HDDR this time around, and maybe do the SOA on a future visit. The HDDR has comedic content that both adults and children "get" :rolleyes1, some of it on different levels lol (mostly in the late shows). And just fyi, if you do the HDDR, remember to allow quite a bit of travel time to get there (you can spend a nice amount of time looking around FW prior to the show) ! And of course, there's the "choosing which showtime" issue ! If you have any dietary factors in your family, you can call at least 24 hours ahead and inform them of the particulars. We've had people in our group with different issues occasionally, and there's never been a problem. A few times, they brought over food from the Trail's End restaurant next door. My husband has been "chosen" to be a part of the end of the show twice, (I won't get into specifics so as not to spoil the show) but let's just say that they gave him an interesting costume! Have a great time !

For me, I prefer the food and atmosphere at Spirit of Aloha better!

I have done them both, loved them both. I laughed more at HDDR but just adore everything about the Polynesian. Spirit of Aloha is definitely easier to get to. With the ages of your kids, maybe HDDR would be better.

I've done both and wouldn't choose to repeat SOA, but plan on seeing Hoop again this Dec.
