Here is the new 2007 pricing:

2007 Pricing:

Category 1 will allow you and your party to be seated on the first floor level with your table nearest the stage and in the middle of all the action and excitement.
$58.99 - Adults, $29.99 - Children (3-9)

Category 2 offers either a great table on the first floor behind the Category 1 seating below the balcony or in the center of the balcony on the 2nd floor. Either way, you're still facing the stage so you can get a wonderful view of the entire performance.
$54.99 - Adults, $26.99 - Children (3-9)

Category 3 offers tables that are located on the right hand side or left hand side of the balcony on the 2nd floor. You won't miss a moment of the fun and excitement as you enjoy the panoramic view of the entire stage production.
$50.99 - Adults, $25.99 - Children (3-9)

Guests in need of wheelchair accessibility may only be seated in Category 1 for the Hoop Dee Doo Musical Revue. Category 2 and 3 areas of Pioneer Hall are not wheelchair accessible. Guests seated in Category 2 or 3 areas may be required to ascend one flight of stairs.

Please Note; For guests utilizing the dining plan seating is available for Category 2 or 3 only and is subject to availability. Two Table Service meals for each person dining at a Dinner Show will be redeemed from your meal plan balance.

The way I am reading the post is that really no matter what Cat seating you have; you will still be able to see and enjoy the show?? We went Feb 05 9:00 seating. There were not many people at the show. Sat up front about 3 tables from the stage. It was an awesome show and dh wants to see it again as we are going with people who have not been to it. Will they now not offer later shows if there is not enough people for say Cat 1 seating??

There's always a silver lining. Healthy price increases typically mean that business is good. The last time we had a time with lower price increases (due to a depressed market for vacations), it translated into a lot of deferred maintenance in the parks.

I know there's tons of reasons (good or not) for price increases but that doesn't mean I'm happy with it or the reasoning.

I can't remember where I read it, but I had heard that it is wiser to pay cash for the Hoop-Dee-Doo than use 2 dining plan table service credits. Does anyone know why that would be, or is it better to use the credits (especially considering the price increase)?

There aren't any hard and fast rules. Do whichever works best for your vacation. I personally think it's worth the 2 credits for the whole experience.

But I am a little sad that the tickets finally broke the $50 mark. I could better justify it for the two of us when it was just under $100.

I'm sorry,but this show is DEFINATELY not worth the over $50 price!! Don't get me wrong, it is a good show, food is tasty.. but come on... OVER $50.. and there is NO WAY my dd (5) eats over $25.00 worth of food! Yikes!!!

My inlaws love this show, and this is where we ate Thanksgiving dinner last yr, and again this yr.. (don't ask!!!) and i believe she also wants it for TG dinner NEXT yr.. ugh. LOL

Well, It's official, my mil is definatley booking the $58 pp seats for next Thanksgiving.. LOL While i LOVE the tradition of going to WDW for TG, i wish we could vary the TG day meal a bit yr to yr!! LOL
