Hoop-Dee-Doo Musical Revue ...

Would be great for a Birthday! The night we were there, the Cast asked who was celebrating... and we had a few birthdays and the entire place sang happy birthday. (not sure if they do this every show, but pretty sure they do)

To get to the Pioneer lodge from the MK, you take a ferry over and follow the signs. About a 20 minute trip.

It takes 2 TS meals for a ticket. We paid OOP and it was worth it.

I am a Hard Core Foodie, hubby (AKA John Wayne) is Mr. Meat and Potatoes. I thought the salad and the cornbread were very good and everything else was edible, but not a lot more. OTOH hubby LOVED it. LOVED the food, LOVED the show, even twirled his napkin and stomped his feet. (I was begninng to wonder if aliens had taken over his body...)

We've gone once before and will be going again this upcoming trip (incidentally, it looks like we're arriving the same day as you are). The first time was a few years ago and my niece was 9, but when I told her we were going again, she told me how excited she was to go again (she's 13 now).

The food isn't foodie quality, but it's tasty and plentiful. I think you will have a great time as long as you all let go and get into the spirit of the show.

Would this be good for DS 8th birthday? How hard is it to get there from MK? His birthday probably will be the first full day of our trip. We can't go to character meals cause dd 5 is scared so reading about this makes me think this would work? He does like fried chicken! Also, anyone know if this is on the dining plan?

It is 2 credits for category seating 2 & 3 for the early shows. It is 2 credits for any category for the late show (which I think mught be 9:30pm). :)

Thanks for all the great info on this. Is the different category seating that big of a deal? It is worth the extra cost?

So happy to hear all the great reviews.

Finally doing HDDR in April:cool1::dance3:

We paid for the premium seats and got front row to the stage. Worth the expense? To us it was, but this was our splurge event for the trip.

The players go out amongst the guests during the show and this includes going up to the balcony seats.

This is all a matter of what you are looking for.. if you are closer to the stage, the players seem to be more likely to ham it up with you... but this could just be my perception.

There are no bad seats in the house.. .go with what you feel comfortable spending.

We picked this show for our anniversary night at WDW and will be taking our kids, 4 & 6. This thread is very helpful and reassuring. Thanks for sharing!
