Hello Everyone
My family and I are going to the Hoop-Dee-Doo Musical Revue ...
Cant anyone tell me about it. i have two boys ages 12 and 9 are they going to enjoy it? And hows the food there? thanks for any info...

Love it! Love it! Love it!!!! DS9 said that we MUST go back!! So...we are going back. In fact, our entire family loved it, grandparents and all! Our kids laughed so hard, especially our oldest son. He still talks about the crazy performers. The food was surprisingly good. We're from the South, so good fried chicken is something we are used to;) Their fried chicken was AWESOME!!! I almost made myself sick eating it. DH ate his weight in baked beans. The strawberry shortcake was delicious, also. It's a great experience for a family! Before going, I had read several bad reviews about the HDDR. Glad I didn't listen them! Hopefully your experience will be a terrific one.

Have a great time!

I am going back in December, food is good and I really do believe all ages from young to old enjoy it, no age limit of fun at HDDR :thumbsup2

My boys ages 6 and 7 loved it. I enjoyed sitting back and watching them laugh so hard. DH loved the food. I have to admit that I wasn't as impressed with the food. We are going back next month for my 7 year olds birthday. When we asked him "what did he want to do at Disney for his birthday" he chose HDDR. :goodvibes

Your kids will love it.... My entire family went (Kids aged between 4 - 9) and the Hoop Dee Doo was the highlight of our trip.

I bought the Premium seats for the entire family as I figured this would be a good splurge moment. As it turns out, there is not be a bad seat in the house. The players move throughout the audience and make sure to include everyone (including the balcony seats).

The day we went was the a 'meltdown day' for the family and the revue turned that around immediately.

The Food is decent (Campfire fair): Chicken (great), Ribs (good), corn on the cob, mashed potatoes, and dessert (strawberry short cake). The best part.. it is ALL YOU CAN EAT!

You can buy adult beverages, but we stuck to the iced tea and water.

The One thing you need to know: this is an audience participation event! Let the hair down, let loose, and get goofy with the players and your kids. This is one thing that my wife and kids have told me that we NEED to do every time we go... it is an IMPERATIVE. :thumbsup2

We did HDDR last time we went when dd was 12. We all loved it and it was one of the highlights of our trip. I had been hesitant thinking it would be really hokey...it was, in some ways, but really fun!!

Thanks everyone for the post. im so excited about going. Im glad i pick it ...

Our entire family loved it as well. I had so much fun watching the kids laugh! It's my grandson's favorite thing to do at WDW - beside the water parks!
You'll have a great time.

We loved HDDR so much that we ended up booking 27 seats for our wedding day dinner - we got married at Disney and dinner was a hoot!! You can check out my wedding planning journal/trip report to see a full review of the show along with pics...I love HDDR fried chicken - it's so fantastic! The show is corny but very funny and cute. Love it and will surely do it again!

:thumbsup2
There is no need to buy adult beverages; beer and wine is included. Ok it'[s Bud Light, but it is beer. And the best part.. it is ALL YOU CAN DRINK!

the kids will love it, especially the character Six-Bits. If you want to get a sneak peak, you can get watch some on YouTube. But i'd watch it and not the let kids, it will be more fun for them. Any birthdays or anniversaries? They collectively sing to the birthdays and do something special for anniversaries. It is a great time. Oh and the seats are assigned ahead of time, so you don't have to rush to be first in line to get a good table, they seat you. :0)

oh thank you all of all the replys to my post im so excited. i do have one more question. can you take pictures in there?

Yes, you can take pics during HDDR. We have some of my grandson with his head back laughing so hard that it cracks me up to this day!
Enjoy your dinner!

Yep, we took a ton of Pictures. The players will even pose for you to take their pictures.

My Wife got a great picture of Two-bits.

We love HDDR. We have gone with 3 generations and everyone had a blast.
The food is good "down home cooking" (not gourmet) and it is all you care to eat. Beer (Bud), wine and sangria are included, as are soft drinks.
Enjoy it was a blast.

HDDR is best dinner experience at Disney. Have 7 family pictures from HDDR lined up on frig. Trip 8 in June. The show is a blast. Food is picnic fair, good but Emeril was not in the kitchen. All you want to eat and drink. Must take advantage of picture opportunity when you check in.

Would this be good for DS 8th birthday? How hard is it to get there from MK? His birthday probably will be the first full day of our trip. We can't go to character meals cause dd 5 is scared so reading about this makes me think this would work? He does like fried chicken! Also, anyone know if this is on the dining plan?
