A big fat yes! Everyone in our family, from dh and I in our early thirties to our two year old son, loved the Hoop Dee Do. It's a lot of fun.

How is it if you have no kids.....Should we do it with just adults or no???

I have done it twice with adults only.
First, in 1997, with boyfriend and his parents (in their late 50's). We had a blast. BF's dad was pulled up on stage...hilarious!

Second time for honeymoon in 2002 (not with old BF :teeth: ) and it was just as good, if not better!

I would highly recommend it for any age.

Geez, after all these rave reviews how could I not do this? I booked it today.

How do they handle the seating? Is it preassigned or first come, first serve?

Seating is assigned when you make your reservations. The earlier you reserve, the better your seating. We reserved three months out and had the front row, center.

You will love this show.

So much fun!! I can hear the music...Hoop De Doo, Hoop De Doo

I think we are going to try and do this for DH B-day or DD b-day. One way or another I am going. :teeth:

I'm thinking about booking this for my next trip, could someone give me the run down of the menu? I could only find fried chicken, pork ribs, mixed corn and strawberry cake. (We're not beer drinkers, so you can skip that.)

Just back from our second time and defintiely would recommend Hoop Dee Doo. A lot of fun and good food. OPnly wish we had done it sooner. One of the highlights of our last two trips. Jay

There's also baked beans, a tossed salad, bread, wine and sangria.

We are going for the 8th time in June. When we tell the kids we are taking a trip to WDW the first thing they ask is "are we going to the HDD?"

It never gets old for us. And on trips where we don't go to the HDD it always seems like we are missing something.

Yay! I did the HDD with my dd 4 and we absolutley loved it. It was the first time for both of us. I did not add this until the last minute before our trip and much to my surprise we were front row center. My dd got to interact with all the characters and just loved it.

OT _ We are skipping it this year. :sad2: Instead I am taking her to the My Disney Princess Tea. :cloud9: Boy will she ever be surprised. All I have told her is that mommy can't reservations for the HDD (she really wanted to go) and that I have found something new for us to do. I can't wait to see her face!

A must do at least one trip. We have done it the last 2 so I think we will skip it this time. I would do either the first 2 shows with small children as 9:30 is late. By the time you get out of there and back to your room, it will be really late.

Yes. :)

We went in December with my DS8 and DS4. I made the reservations about a week ahead of time and all they had was the balcony. It was great!
We had a completely unobstructed view, and at one point there is a joke in the show about someone making a funny noise (hard to explain) and put the spotlight right on DS4 who had his elbows on the balcony. The whole place was laughing. (He was, too.)

The cast came up to the balcony periodically and joked with us, the service was great, the drinks unlimited (although I didn't have but two sangrias, it was still nice having that Disney transportation available to back to our resort in!) and we all had a great time.

We just did the 9:30 showing last night. We didn't get back to the room until after mid-night.

The show is GREAT! We had so much fun and the food is really good.

They had my DD on the stage playing the washboard. :lmao:
