The last time we went to Hoop Dee Doo from Epcot it took us nearly two hours. We took the monorail to the TTC, Ferry to MK (or maybe it was the monorail), and then boat to Fort Wilderness. We are planning on going to the show again, and wanted to spend a few hours in Epcot before we head over there. But if it is going to take that long, we will probably only get about 2 or 3 hours in the park, and it won't be worth it.

I have seen a couple of posts about taking a minnie van directly to the bus area by the show. So I thought we could walk to beach club and take a minivan from there. I am hoping that would cut down our travel time to about an hour. Does anyone have any experience with doing this? Does it sound doable?

I would just take the bus from Epcot to Ft Wilderness.

eta- the pricing on the Minnie Van is changing soon - $15 flat rate plus a mileage charge, their is a thread on the transportation board.

If you are ok with the price (probably more than the current $25 plus tip) then you would still have to exit the park, walk to a resort, use the app to find the Minnie Van and hope there is one available in a timely manner. The only benefit I can see is they will go directly to Hoop De Doo so you would avoid the internal bus.

Last January I exited Epcot via the IG, walked over to Beach Club, and took a Minnie Van to the Grand Floridian for a Tea Reservation. 40 minutes total including the walking, waiting for a Minnie Van, and riding to the GF.

Thanks, that helps. We are doing a very short trip and were hoping to fit in some Epcot time. If we can do the travel in about an hour I think that's what we will plan.
