Would you recommend Hoop Dee Doo for teens(15 and 13)? We find that it is really expensive and our teens are not huge eaters, but that said, it looks like a lot of fun. Is it worth it just for the entertainment? Will our kids find the jokes too lame? THANKS!!!! :sunny:

Last time I went in April, there was a high school marching band attending, had to be way over 100 kids. They took over the whole place! They seemed to be really enjoying themselves!

It was the one thing that my son when he was 15 (way too cool for anything else) really enjoyed. He couldn't hide that he was having a good time because he was laughing too much!

My best friends daughter went last year she was 13 at the time and she loved it. I personally think the show is for the whole family. You will have a great time. :rotfl:

Last spring my kids were 12 and 16 and we went for the 7th time. The first thing out of their mouths when we tell them we're going to WDW is "are we going to the HDD?"

We will be visiting WDW again next June and the kids are already asking if we're going back for the 8th time. How can you turn them down?

I am a teenager (19) and I went last November to and had a GREAT time!! Your kids would love it!!!

:flower: ... you are a WELL-ADJUSTED teen ( :rotfl: ) and took in HDD for what it was... F-U-N! We took our then 19 & 16 year old teen girls and they had a blast! Unless someone's teens are full of angst or goth's, etc. they too should have a great time. :flower:

We went in April with our boys (14, 11, 7) and all loved it!!! They loved the food and the show. Of course, it helped that the cast picked their Uncle Al to be Davey Jones' angel and dressed him in a pink tutu and put him on stage!!!! My brother was being a big jerk that day - so we told him, "See what happens when you're naughty at Disney"!!! :cheer2:

It was great!! :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

We took our then 17 year old son who thought Disney was "stupid" and was only along because we promised him Universal (which, BTW, he thought wasn't as good as Disney - smart kid). He really did NOT want to go to Hoop Dee Do. Thought the whole thing was lame and complained the entire time we were there.

Until the show. I never saw that kid eat so much and actually ask for seconds on *gasp* a vegetable! By the end of the night, he was fighting us for the washtub we were given so he could play it himself. He tried to outsing us, outclap us, and outyell us because we were smack dab in the middle of the floor so my husband and I were on one "side" and he was on the other. And I'll never forget his face with the finale. Seeing our server up there and then getting dessert.

Price of Hoop Dee Doo - $60 (or so). Having your almost adult son having fun with his parents - Priceless.
