Hoop Dee Doo food question?

I have been to Hoop Dee Doo twice and we are going to do it again during our August tip. I was reading in my Passporter that you can request hot dogs and macaroni and cheese for the kids. I have never done this, my kids just ate the chicken/ribs etc. that came with the show. But I was thinking our 2 year old might prefer hot dogs to ribs this trip.
Has anyone done this, order hot dogs and macaroni in addiiton to the normal food at Hoop Dee Doo? Do you know if this has to be ordered when you make the PS, or do you just ask when you are the show?
Thanks for any help!

I think you can order pretty much anything that any other restaurant at WDW offers - this, according to a book I have about vegetarian meals there.

I always order vegetarian when we go to hoop-de-doo, and in the past, they've told me that you need to call Pioneer Hall 48 hours in advanvce to request it. I'm sorry I haven't saved the #, but when you make your PS, ask them for it.(That's what I always do since I'm too lazy to keep track of the # myself!:D )

Whatever you order, you can also have some of what they're serving for everyone else, too. Have fun!

Well, uh, that's another story.:D

Frankly, their version of a vegetarian meal is just awful. It's really bland, tasteless spaghetti, and the last time we went we didn't even bother order it - we just ate all the non-meat stuff.

However, now that I know you can order from other places, next time we go I'm going to ask if I can have the vegetarian options that are available at the Luau - and they are really good. According to the book, Vegetarian WDW, this should be fine.

Oh, and looking at the book, I see the # for Pioneer Hall is (407)939-3463.
