We are planning to do Hoop-Dee-Do on our next trip. My daughter can't eat anything there. Does anyone know if they offer a reduced rate if you have a member of the party just watching the show? I'm fine playing the full price since she will get the entertainment, but wasn't sure if this was an option.

Also, anyone know if we could bring in safe food for her to eat while she watches? I typically just feed her before or after if need be, but wasn't sure how strict they'd be if she had her own meal with her.

Are her issues due to allergies? If so, I would call and ask them what allergy options are available. I am sure they have been asked this question before.

I don’t think they allow you to bring in outside food, but so many things have changed recently that it may have changed.

There is no reduced pricing for HDDR. It's a pre-pay experience which includes the show and a family-style meal. There is no way the staff could monitor who is eating and who isn't. Perhaps consider cat 3 seating to keep costs down? IMHO, it's a great show no matter where you are seated in the venue.

I do not know the answer regarding outside food - you could certainly try? As PP noted, if it's allergy related, note it on your reservation and they will take care of you.

No, she has a condition called ARFID, which is an eating disorder with fear of food. She eats very few foods and under very specific conditions only. There's nothing they could serve her, unfortunately. I'll call about the outside food, but I am sure we'd pay the full price, which is fine... I pretty much expected it.

She has a medical condition, I’d bring some safe foods for her to the show.

Just remember that outside food can not be heated by kitchen. That includes for disabilities. Bring outside food but will be somewhat hard with food that needs to be warm with travel time to get there.

I'd just be bringing something like dry cereal of a granola bar so she can eat while there. She would eat her meal before or after we went.

I don't personally see how dry cereal or a granola bar could possibly be a problem. Obviously you know you are paying full price either way and are ok with that.

I can sympathize as I suspect my daughter has a form of ARFID as well, though she has not been formally diagnosed.

Just so you are aware there are two short songs that mention food being served- one about fried chicken and one about strawberry shortcake. I did not know if your daughter would consider that as "pressure" to eat those items and did not want it to be an issue once you were already there

My daughter has struggled since she was 1, but was formally diagnosed this year. She's been in therapy weekly since October for it. It's a long long journey. If you ever want to chat about it, feel free to message me!

THANK YOU! That is extremely helpful so I can tell her about that.

Those won’t be a problem but something that needs heating would be as by federal regulations they are not allowed to take something from outside even from another Disney restaurant can not be reheated. I run into this a few times a season where I work. Parents feel we should be able to reheat something in our microwave. The last one I had was you serve Mac & Cheese you could warm ours up as my child won’t eat yours. I was like your child can tell the difference so would inspectors. Parent was like there is no difference in our Mac & Cheese and yours. Didn’t end well but theirs was not reheated.

That's WILD. I'd never do that LOL. People have nerve.

I can't imagine they would have an issue with this. I hope you and your family enjoy the show.

I'm so sorry she is dealing with this, if you explain a medical diet, I know they would allow you to bring in her own food (however they may still charge full price).

Even if she doesn't eat the food, I think the show is worth the price.
