I am trying to plan an early dinner for our group to meet up for on our MK day. The cast is myself, DH, DMIL, DFIL, DSIL, DBIL, DS3, DS5, Neices 8 and 12, and nephews 9 and 13. Which would you recommend? For breakfast that day half of us are going to CP and half to CRT, so we will probably just have a snack for lunch. Thanks!

well i'm sure i will be in the minority but we enjoyed WCC much more than hddr. 1) you get to chose your food . you can get a skillet or one of the plated meals( better imo) where as while the food is good at hddr, you can get it at Trail's end for 1/3 the price.2) the show at hddr is just too corny for us.

however you can not count on being entertained at WCC. so i don't know that you can really completely compare the 2. WCC is more of a meal with some gags thrown in, Hddr is more of an "evening out".

personally if i wanted a show/evening out i'd bite the bullet and go to cirque since it is a really good show and eat somewhere cheap if money were the object.( we went to wgpuck express for pizza when we went to cirque and it wasn't a lot more than hddr( maybe $20 or so each) and much more entertaining, well worth the extra money imo)

Another vote for whispering Canyon. We've never done hoop dee doo, but we definitely love whispering canyon.

Well I guess I'll start it. We like WCC but we HDDR is much better. The food and the show. Sure it's corny but that's what's nice about it. If DD 13 likes it they must be doing something right. Because she's at that age where the only thing she likes is boys. Heaven help me. :rotfl2:

While both are fun, I think it depends on how much time you want to allot for the dinner and also money. HDDR will require more of a time comminttment and money for each person. But it is alot of fun and fun for a group. WCC is also lots of fun but of course there is no stage show, however the wait staff creates lots of funnies during your dinner and the smaller kids may enjoy the "pony races." It also may depend on how your 3 yo would do with a sit down dinner and show. My DD handeled HDDR beautifully at 2 & 3 however her younger brother I don't think will be able to do it until he's older!

Good luck with your decision! And have fun!

I've done both and I vote for WCC!!! It is so much fun!

Our children enjoyed the WCC much better too, they got to pick out what they wanted to eat, not what was served to them.

While both are fun... this past week we did WCC on Fri, HDDR on Sat.. and then had to add another WCC on Tues :teeth:

I've actually never done either and both are on our must do list for next year, but it sounds like the food is great at both. I would think it would just depend on whether you want to sit through a show while you eat or not. You'd get out of WCC faster if you're wanting to squeeze in something else that night.
BTW, SchultzFive, I also have 3 girls with the middle one being named Sydney~ small world...
