Hoop-Dee-Do or O'hana

Currently, I have O'hana booked for dinner on our last night this September. After reading all of the recent reviews, the common theme seems to be that O'hana used to be good, but has gone downhill. I know people have different opinions and I normally like to try places for myself, but the number of bad recent reviews is alarming. So I was looking to replace O'hana with Hoop-De Do, but I wanted some opinions. Thanks!
I like them both, but HDDR is a more special experience.

We’ve done both twice. HDDR has more multiple visit value & appeal, but that’s what you get with a show based meal experience. Not that Ohana isn’t good, but we have two Brazilian restaurants near home so, no biggie.

Ohana is my families favorite restaurant, we eat there twice every trip and have never had a bad meal but that being said when I am planning trips for others I always recommend HDDR if they want any kind of a fun dinner show/event. It has had a warm spot in my heart since our 1st trip in 2006. My then 5 year old showed up in a fancy dress (she was really into it at that age) and they let her open up the restaurant and took her picture (and gave it to us). Just be prepared, one time they asked me where I was from I said Missouri, the performer say Misery? Your from misery? why are you so sad in a high inflated southern accent. Great place.

Another vote for HDDR! We did both Ohana and Hoop on our last trip to WDW in December- Ohana on Christmas Eve and Hoop Dee Doo on Christmas Day. We had such a better time at HDDR than Ohana. We are doing Christmas again at WDW and Ohana is now off the list. HDDR, however, WILL be done again- its so fun!!!!

Have never seen HDDR but have thought about it. At $60 a person the price is VERY steep. I've been told the food while decent is rather low end. We've been to Aloha and enjoyed it but again, very steep prices and just ok food. If we're on DDP is it worth 2TS or would going to a place like CG be a better use?

Pay cash for HDDR, and use the saved TS credit to go to California Grill one night.

Love both Ohana And HDDR. I feel we have more fun at Ohana when we have a bigger party and we always go when the fireworks will be going while we are there.
HDDR we’ve done once and it was great. Good food, lots of entertainment and we are looking forward to doing it again.
I do agree that HDDR would be a great way to end your Disney trip.

We will be on the dining plan. There are 6 in my family, so paying oop would be over $300. Would you still do that?

When we used to do the DDP we would always pay OOP for CRT and use the credits elsewhere. So along the same lines.
