Does anyone know if DVC members get a discount at the Hoop De Doo Musical Review? And has anyone been that can recommend this show-thanks!

Not sure if still in place but there was DVC discount for the late (9:30) show.

Though I actually know a few people who disliked the show I think you will find that 98% of everyone who goes thinks it is one of the best shows there is. It has been running for many decades for a reason. Has an extremely high repeat rate (people who keep coming back to see it again every once in a while) Works for all, kids to adults.

I went in September. It was definitely good! The jokes are corny and lots of slapstick humor. They go out in to the audience a lot. Overall it's a good time.

The food was good, and the price of admission included all-you-can-drink beer, wine and sangria :thumbsup2

I have been looking to see if DVC still gets a discount and cannot find it anywhere.

We truly recomment this show. My wife and I went there for our 25th Anniversary and had a blast. Yes the jokes are corny, but the atmosphere was one of relax, let loose and have fun! The food is good, the atmosphere is great, the staff tried really hard to make everything fun.

We had so much fun and enjoyed it so much, that December 16th at the 7:15pm show we are going again, and taking our DD, DSIL, and 4 DGrandkids! We know they will enjoy it.

Thinking of adding in 2 sleigh rides for that night before dinner to begin to set the mood!

I am so excited about our trip that I just can't stop thinking of little add on items to make it even more special.

After avoiding it for the last 10 years, we've been twice this year! It's really a lot of fun!

I don't know about discounts, but we go every 2-3 trips. It is a lot of fun. My DW always asks if I am going to try to get my "money's worth" of beer. I always try! :thumbsup2

Have fun!

Been there many times, and always had a blast. No DVC discount though. There is a discount for Annual Passholders or Tables in Wonderland for the (9:30 show only (can't remember which one, but we used it several times).

We went 2 years ago for the first time and LOVED it! My 5 children cried from laughing so hard. My mother was chosen to go up on stage and my kids were hysterical. It was our best night out and they still talk about it. It's great entertainment and highly recommended.

Not sure about the discount - but I love it so much we are doing HDDR as our wedding dinner after our wedding next year at WDW!!! We have a crowd of about 20 people going - should be a blast!

We have avoided it for 10 years and finally went last Saturday.

The food was a C+. You can't really expect it to be great when they have to serve so many people at the same time. If you like a buffet (which we hate) you will probably like it.

Seating was pretty rough. High wood chairs. I was looking forward to the end by the end.

Show was a B-. There was plenty of humor, dancing, and singing but like all dinner shows it was mechanical at times.

You sort of have to decide in advance to have a good time in order to have a good time. We made the mistake of going on the first night we got there and we were pretty tired.

We would probably do it again but not for a long time.

We did this for my BIL's 60th birthday. When else can you be entertained by the Hokey Pokey and Oh Clementine? My sons both in their 20s laughed until they had tears in their eyes. I love the rib, chicken, strawberry shortcake, but wish you didn't have to fight the waiter for more wine (they're big on pitchers for beer!).

You will have a blast!!!! We just did Hoop a couple of weeks ago for my DS 13th birthday. The 9:30 show. The table in front of us were married for 1 week, and the cast had a great time with them. LOL

I had 2 13 yo's with us and they laughed. First year that DS is "getting" the jokes. So that was fun too. He is still talking about Six Bits.
