Hoop De Doo to AKL?

We are doing Hoop De Doo Review on June 8th at 9:30.

What is the best way to get back to our hotel, Animal Kingdom Lodge, after Hoop De Doo that late?

There will usually be buses at the bus stop to the right of Pioneer Hall. One bus will serve several hotels but there are CMs to help direct you. If the MK is still open you can also ride the boat back to MK then catch the AKL bus from there.

Last year we did the late show and we caught the bus DTD and then to AKL it was a long ride. You could also catch the bus to whatever park is open late and then catch the bus back to the resort.

It looks as though the MK is open until 11:00 pm the day you are doing HDDR, so the buses/boats should run for about 1 1/2 hours after MK closing. I would take the boat from Ft Wilderness to the MK, and then take the bus to AKL from the MK.

We were at the late show in Oct, staying at BWV. When you exit Pioneer Hall, just head to the right. A very short walk (you can see the buses from the Hall) and you're at the buses. Yes, your bus will serve several other resorts, probably the AllStars. We shared with S/D, YC/BC, and possibly POP. But, it was pretty quick...much quicker than heading back over to MK via the boat and then taking a bus to the resort. Don't forget that you will have to deal with very large numbers of people at MK at that time.

Also, If you don't board the boat until after 11pm, they might not take you. After the park is closed, Disney Transport is not susposed to take guests back to the park.

So if the watercraft works the same way as the buses you will either need to take the resort buses, transfer to DTD and then to AKL or call a taxi.
