My son who is 3 was born with low vision/legally blind (20/200). We are doing the Basic Dining plan and planned to go to the Hoop De Doo BUT with the dining plan for the early seatings (before 9:30p) they only do the upper levels...my son would NEVER be able to see the stage from that far away.
Do you think they would allow us the lower seating at the eariler time due to his vision issue? We are planning on getting a Guest assistance pass for front seating at the non dinner shows so I am not sure if that would also apply to a dinner show?

Did you let them know about your son's disability? I have found HDD to be very accomodating for us . It may be that they truly cannot accomodate you on the ground floor, but it doesn't hurt to ask.

I agree - you should call and explain your situation. Things might work out. We went 2 years ago. I have low vision as well due to eye disease. We did the DP and due to some cancellations b/c of stomach virus with my 6y.o. we ended up with extra credits. I called the day of the show and scheduled the 9:30 show. We were able to get a floor table without even asking. If all else fails can you take late naps and then try the late show. We did this with my crew and things worked out great! I agree that balcony seating would be difficult for your little one, especially since he is still too little for binoculars. Good Luck!

Call the Special Reservations phone number - it's in the disABILITIES FAQs thread in the resort information, but when I called to check our resort reservation, I noticed one of the options was for other reservations.
