Okay...maybe I've been traveling around too long on here today...but for the life of me - I can't find information about the Hoop de Doo .... is it a character meal? where is it??? My eyes hurt..... TIA Barb:rolleyes:

If on the dining plan, it is a 2 credit TS.

Located at Pioneer Hall a short walk from the marina at Ft. Wilderness Resort and Campground. It is a dinner show. VERY GOOD!!! Note that the price includes beer/wine, tax, and gratuity. So a very good bargain (for Disney) and a wonderful show!!

You may find more info under the Camping Forum as it is in Ft. wilderness. We went in May and had the time of our lives. One tip is bring a sweater it was a little chilly inside.:thumbsup2

.....and if you like fried chicken and barbecued ribs, go hungry. All you can eat plus you have to save room for the strawberry shortcake.:thumbsup2

I loved it. The show was very classic Disney (think Daniel Boone era), and I loved the food. My in-laws did not seem as thrilled - maybe they've been to too many fancy Broadway shows and restaurants, but they are generally blasé. Personally I don't see how anyone could fail to love this experience. The waiter was friendly and kept the food coming, unlike when we tried that "all you can eat" luau at the Polynesian and the waiter never came back.

I noticed that someone mentioned that the gratuity is included with the Hoop De Doo on the dining plan. Hasn't that changed? I thought that the new plan did NOT included an appetizer nor the gratuity. We are booked for our December trip and that would be great to know if we didn't have to pay that part for 6 adults.

We were just there and it was great! It was a bit chilly inside though. We got a table right up front and even my 7 and 9 yo kids loved the show! Great food too!

You are correct that the DDP no longer includes Grat. Hoop Dee Doo however includes it whether paying OOP or on the DDP. Kinda like a bonus. :goodvibes

Guests requiring wheelchair access may only be seated in category 1.

Does this mean that patrons in wheelchairs and those with them can't use the DDP, since cat 1 seating is not permitted to be used with the DDP, or is a special allowance made in this scenario?

I know my dad would love to go here, but I can't justify paying OOP for 3 people for this event.

Cat I is allowed at the 9:30 show. It usually isn't full, although YMMV. And busses will be waiting to take all resort guests home.

Well Yes and No! Disney did remove tips being included on the Dining Plan but some 2TS credit restaurant/ Shows have the tips included such as Hoop Dee Doo Review! CRT if you do Dinner! and Grand Gatherings also include tips! there are very few that still include tips!

We had a great time at this show. I booked pretty late and got Category 3, but we were totally fine with that. I think it might have better than a seat in Category 2 at the back of the first floor. If you want to see some pictures and read my review it's in the second link in my signature.

Do they have tables for 2, or do you share tables with others?

Have you done the dining plan before? I ask because we have 2 A and 2 C 1>3 and our dinner bill was about 90 each night last year for 1credit meals. We will do HDDR OOP it is a great value for the money . JMHO

No, I haven't done the dining plan before. Right now the Hoop-De-Doo is apparently $58.99 for adults, coming out to just under $177 -- and that is a little beyond our budget. If, however, the above post is correct and category 1 seating can be used on the DDP for the 9:30 show, we may consider using the 2 table credits it requires from each of us.

If you are a party of two, and you are downstairs, you do not sit with others. (They table you to your party size.) I am not sure about the balcony -- it looks like benches to me -- but I have not been up there in years -- anyone ekse know how seating works on balcony?
