Hi

I have been trying to book Hoop De Doo Revue for an October trip. But the dates are not available. I have done some research, and a few people are suggesting this is going to be in refurbishment.

However Disney are not confirming this. The dining line cast member says its not listed as a refurb, but doesn't know why its not in system yet. One of the Moms Panel has said no plans for a refurb as far as they are aware.

I don't want to go and book something else, only to find out it was simplify;y not yet in the reservation system yet, but equally I do not want to wait and then miss getting a reservation somewhere else

Anyone know if its usual for Hoop De Doo not to yet be listed 180 days out, or does anyone for absolute certain its planned to be closed this fall?

Whomever knows is not talking...! It seems like Sept was not open for awhile then suddenly was. Perhaps they are considering it but have not decided on when exactly to do so for various reasons? All we can do is wait and hope!

Our 180 was a couple of weeks ago. I included HDDR in our requests and wasn't surprised when the Poly's IPO office said that it wasn't available to book. They told me that it wasn't in the system yet for October. I emailed them back & asked if the rumours about the refurb were true. They told me that they had not been informed of the HDDR being closed for a refurbishment and they would let me know if they received any news. I have heard nothing since. It seems odd to me that the IPO offices, whose job it is to book people's ADR's would not be informed of this. But checking with the WDW website you still can't book it. I just don't get why the heck they just don't officially announce something if it is being closed. :confused3

I just asked the Poly IPO about this again (I had to email for something else). They said that HDDR has informed them that they are not going down for a refurb, that the problem with booking October is with a system error that is taking some time to fix. Hoping this is true and things are resolved soon!

I wanted to book HDDR for November...is it going to be closed then? Thanks!

Good to hear. I did think it was something like that. So its just waiting for October to open up in the system then I guess

When I tried to book HDD back in Feb for an Aug trip, CM told me it was scheduled for refurb beginning Aug 5 and would last several months. Before this CM, other CM's had been saying "it's not loaded into the system yet for some unknown reason"

Now it's available for Aug - perhaps you are going to see the same occurence for OCT until they decide what they're going to do :confused3 I would book something for the night you want HDD, then if HDD opens up you can always cancel - but pick something less appealing so you won't struggle with what to do...which is where I find myself now

I have a trip planned for mid-Dec and am crossing my fingers that the HDDR refurb will be delayed until some time in 2013.

We'll likely be on the DxDP and need to burn 2 credits (not a bad problem to have). Right now, the backup plan is Fantasmic Dinner package at HBD.

Good plan IMO :thumbsup2

An alternative could be the luau for 2 credits (especially if you really want to do Fantasmic at one of the other 2 places that require only 1 TS)

I have read about the refurb rumors - from September through the end of 2012 - so we scratched it off our late fall 2012 trip plan. I am going to have to keep watching *this thread and report back to the crew (3 families - this would be a event dinner we wanted to do together). Our 180 day mark is not too far off though...

I asked two CMs who do ADRs today and they both said the same thing: probably refurbishment but not confirmed and to keep checking.

I'll be happy if they open the Fantasmic packages at this point!
