Show is corny but cute. Food is awful. Since you're paying for the show more than the food, I recommend only Category 1 seating, with a reservation made months ahead of time so you're very near the front. The earlier you make a reservation, the better seats you'll have in your chosen category. When I reserve, I check several dates of our trip and ask the reservation agent to tell me how far down the reservation priority list I would be for each date and time. I usually go with the 9:30 p.m. show since that one is easiest to get good priority for seating if you call far enough in advance.
I recently took my elderly parents and they loved it. If it were up to me, I'd never go again.
