Hoop De Doo & Picky Eaters

Hi.....

I just booked the Hoop De Doo for early October (had no problem getting the date, time and location I wanted - Category 1). Anyway, we have a 7 year old who won't eat anything they serve and when I asked the CM who was making my ADR, she didn't seem to know if there was something else available.

I swear I saw, here at the Dis, that you could possibly order chicken fingers (or maybe a hot dog) for a picky eater. Can anyone confirm this? We'll be paying $30 for a kid who won't eat much, but we still want to go to the show. I might have to stick a granola bar in my bag, huh?

Any input or even ideas are welcome! I know it can never hurt to ask, right?

We went when my DD was just 4 and the waitress, after she placed the food looked at her and asked me if I wanted a plate of mac & cheese for her, which she quickly brought.

I have found Disney very accomomdating when it comes to food issues, especially with kids.
I would make a call now so they can note on your reservation that you'd need a different selection for your child. They may actually have you talk directly with Hoop Dee Doo "people" for lack of a better name, so that you're both prepared.

Have a wonderful time, it is a fun interactive show (and the food is YUMMY)!

No need to call ahead, anything they serve next door at Trails End they can get for you since they use the same kitchen. Mac and cheese is always on the buffet at T.E.(my ds loves it), so that will work, they occasionally have chicken finger, sometimes fried fish, always pizza(not great though), sometimes a ham at the carving table and sometimes beef. Take a stroll through T.E. while you wait to get in and see what looks good to your kiddo.

They are extremely accomodating!! All you have to do is ask in most cases. We have very picky eaters and have never had a problem with any resturant!

If you call 407 824 2803 24 hours in advance you can get just about anything that they have at the Trails End Buffet (that's were they pick up these special orders). You can get a few more choices if let them know in advance.

We always get cheese pizza, applesauce, and watermelon, for my extremely picky eater.

As others have stated no need to call in advance about it. Our girls had mac & cheese. They also had plain ice-cream for dessert.

They do their best if you don't call in advance, but when you do call in advance you will definately get what you ask for. Trust me, I forgot to call once and no pizza. More options for those with extremely picky eaters.

Thanks for the tip. I think I will call ahead since I still need to make more ADRs. It can't hurt to have it on the reservation already.

Will they subsitute for an adult meal?

We just booked for Nov. 20th...We are so excited to be going again and glad to know that we can call ahead to have some things there our kids will eat.... For $30.00 we hope that we can have something there that they will eat...
