Hoop de Doo and a Picky Child

We plan on going to Hoop de Doo Revue next month during our trip with our 5 year old granddaughter. She’s amazing but an extremely picky eater. Is it possible to get nuggets, hot dogs or even a PB&J? She doesn’t do meat on the bone. We’re staying at Ft Wilderness so I can give her a PB&J before we head over if nothing is available there.

There was pre-covid shutdown, (when Trail's End was right there). I'm not sure what is offered now. Maybe call and ask?

Will she eat the chicken if you take it off the bone for her? Mac & cheese or cornbread?

I doubt she’ll eat the chicken, depends with the mac-n-cheese. AFAIK she only eats the boxed stuff. Pretty sure she’ll eat strawberry shortcake. I’m not too worried about it. I know she’ll love the show. The next day we’re spending $$$ so she can eat half a muffin and a strawberry at Cinderella’s Royal Table.

It looks like they still have chicken nuggets at Trail's End. It wouldn't hurt to ask if she could get some of those.

Picky kid mom here. HDDR is hot/miss depending on servers for us. Check out the kids meals next door and ask for what you want and see what happens.

LOL - you’re definitely not alone! For us the problem isn’t that she won’t eat things (ours eats everything that isn’t spicy) - it’s that she won’t eat things at that very moment. Mac-n-cheese? Loves it! Mac-n-cheese for the meal where we made sure that was on the menu? “I don’t want it!”. We’ll be doing HDD and Cindy’s on our next trip, so hoping for the best. Hope it works out for you!

You and my 6 yo would get along great! If I have to get up at 2:45 am, 2 months ahead of time, to make a reservation, I’m going, dang it!!!!

I made a few dining reservations for my trip later this month and have cancelled 2 of them already. Hoop De Doo is one I'm keeping!

I asked the server (Carlos, he was great) and he brought chicken nuggets and fries. Food aside, I highly recommend HDDR, she had an absolute blast!
