I am thinking about buying this for Pete to help him with his reading.

DD began this as a formal program in her daycare at 4. She was reading within 2 months of starting and hasn't stopped.

I bought the program for my nephew when he was 5 and he did very well with it. It really fostered a love of reading and learning at a time when he was frustrated with learning. His kindergarden experience wasn't the greatest. Now he's an avid reader and loves learning new things.

We bought this for DD... she only used the first part and then didn't need it anymore...
So, we gave it to a friend whose DD is in DD's class... They were in discussion about holding Lexus back... they used HOP over Christmas break and now Lexus is doing great!! She will not be held back...

i dont have it. and i have never used it. BUT i homeschool my DS and those that have used all rave about it. i dont think i have ever heard anything bad about it. i say go for it.
