To say things went perfectly for our first cruise, would be an understatement. The weather, the staff, our own health, it just couldn't have been better. Because this was our first attempt at cruising, we decided to go with the 3 night. This really did work out great for us. For anyone else who's "testing the waters" so to speak, I'd highly recommend this or the 4 night.
I've spent today looking over calendars and schedules for the next 2 years trying to figure out when I can get on board again. Next April we have plans to attend a friends wedding in Ireland. We want to make this an extended trip and also visit England and France while we're there. That pushed me up into 2006. Now I'm thinking that if I have this much time to plan and pay for it, why not go all out? So, I went ahead and sent a fax to the inventory control folks and asked for our names to be placed on the waitlist for a mid-ship category 3 stateroom, 7 night, for the Christmas cruise. Am I completely nuts? The Wonder was full for our May cruise and I didn't feel over-crowded at all. For us New Englanders, I'm guessing that the weather probably won't be an issue either. Anything above freezing will feel pretty good to us. Just wondering though if they heat the pools? Also, for anyone who has sent in a fax request, do they acknowledge receipt and about how far out do you think they'll open up those dates?
In the meantime, I'm planning on keeping a close eye on the boards and see what everyones experience is this December.
