Hook’s Pointe – can you describe the setting?

We are planning to get PS’s for dinner at either Hook’s Pointe or Storyteller Café in early April.

Though we have found lots of information on Storyteller’s including photos we can’t seem to find a good description of the “ambiance” at Hook’s.

Information on this or any comments on the 2 restaurants would also be very welcome.

Thanks in advance pirate:

Hooks Pointe has a subtle Peter Pan theme. The ground has a blue swirl to emulate water, and there are ship-like accessories on the wall. It is very well done, and not cheesy at all. I don't have pics of the decor, but I'll see if I can take some & post them here.

One of my fave desserts is at Hooks Pointe.... Chocolate cake with a scoop of vanilla ice cream on the side. When we ate it, the cake had a shaving of mint chocolate on top. The cake is hot, so when then placed it in front of us, the mint chocolate shaving just kind of melted over the top of the cake. Also, when you bite into the cake you find that the middle is liquid chocolate. Ohhhh, it's so good. I have a pic of it when my son ate it -- I'll post that, too.

Their creme brulee is good, too, if you like it.

I'll also add the the decor is very subtle, so you're not whacked in the face with Disney, Disney Everywhere.

It's a kind of upscale restaurant, not fancy but I think the kind that folks feel more comfortable in if they're "dressed up" a little bit. As in business casual as opposed to shorts and tank tops. Although they do have a children's menu it is definitely not a character meal. More like a place to have a good meal and sip some wine.

Speaking of which they have (hope they still have it) a really nice wine cellar located underneath the restaurant.

ETA: It's at the Disneyland hotel.

Thank you both for the information, that is just what we needed but we will look out for the photos if you do get a chance to post them :magnify:

Our DSs have now reached the grand old ages of 11 and 14 so we feel we can enjoy slightly more sophisticated dining together, this sounds just the thing. :smooth:

I don't think anyone has mentioned the ceiling yet. If I'm remembering correctly, the ceiling is painted with a map that shows Neverland and some other Peter Pan things. We thought that was pretty cool.
