This was posted in my local papers Runners Blog. I am thinking about going to see it. Here is the link for the movie: http://www.hoodtocoastmovie.com/

Its $13.75 for the ticket (with a processing fee naturally:rolleyes:); DH said I should go check it out. Might make a nice stocking stuffer gift for the runners in your life.

this is an amazing movie. I am torn, since it is my last night at WDW, but might be worth the trip to DTD. I am guessing that the AMC Pleasure Island 24 is the movie theater there.

It will be showing at the AMC theaters at Pleasure Island.

My running group is planning on going together. It should be really cool and who knows, we may end up inspired and set up a team:goodvibes

I've done the Portland to Coast, because I didn't 'win the lottery' for a H2C team. It was a blast. I took a lot of notes for the next time, but it's an event and it is fun!

It's right in the middle of my stay, but I've already advised family members that I'm going to the movies that night! I can't wait!

Well I just got back from the movie. It was a really neat film. Two of the four teams were rather inspiring, one team I found completely juvenille and the last team was just downright funny. I won't say which was which.;) It seems like such an amazing event to participate in, makes me wish I could. Not out of the realm of possibility, but at this point, not terribly likely.

Anyone else see it? Thoughts?

Hi! I went to see it at my local Regal Cinema 16 here in Wilmington, DE last night. I enjoyed it and having just finished "Goofy #4" I felt all those miles they were running in the film. I thought it was well done. I'm glad the film focused on a wide variety of skilled and not so skilled runners, not the Elite folks like Team Bowersox from Nike. It was funny, thought provoking, and sad at times. However, throughout it made me proud to be a runner and happy to understand what makes these folks tick. I would recommend it to other runners and non-runners thinking about running. This film definitely made me want to try a team relay sometime in the future.

I liked how they started the slower teams early and the faster teams much later. Like WAYYY later. Since the slower ones got "roadkilled" anyway, at least for a while the slowpokes like me were in the lead;)

The Nike team, well yeah, they win of course but they really don't need to be so arrogant about it do they? When they talked to them, I really was like ugh, you guys need to get over yourselves.

Great stories from some of the teams, I hope they release this on DVD/blu-ray so that I can get a copy.

I thought the same thing! My whole group was pretty grossed out by the elite group and the "Jocks". It was a great movie and now I so want to do a relay race like this!! Anyone in for a WISH team:thumbsup2
