It isn't even 8am on Saturday morning yet, and I've already had to use the "Do you want to spend the entire day in your room?" line.

Methinks it's going to be a looooooong weekend.

Most of mine are asleep....lucky me:teeth:

:) with the exception of the fur babys i'm home alone,, actually listening to the news on tv with no interuption or sudden changes to cartoons,,,coffee is on and nearly ready , the kittys have eaten and one is on each side of my desk purring away ahhhh peace and quiet:),

What's your secret, zurgswife? LOL I'm just waiting for the day when 6am isn't "sleeping late" in my house. (Of course, I can't complain too much....on the flip side of that is the early bedtime. My 12 year old went to bed--by choice--at 8:30pm last night.)

lol come on down,, coffees ready and now kitty is wanting to go out side and play so house is me alone:)

DH took DD7 to work with him, and i'm here with DD6. I have to teach a CPR for the professional rescuer for 25 kids today so DD6 will be going with me....

She's down in my room watching TV.....I'm in the living room watching TV and dis'n....she'll be out here quickly i'm sure, as she's gotta be getting hungry by now!

Tonight we're going to see Shreck 2, and I"ll use that as black mail if she starts getting out of control LOL

ROFL!!! I can totally relate. I know its bad here when its still fairly early in the morning and Im saying "Youre already going to bed at 7:30, want to go for 7:00?"
Good luck, and I hope things turn around.

EEEwwwwwww I hate days that start like that. I am hiding in my office right now because DH asthma is acting up and he is miserable. Not miserable because he can't breathe but the meds make him wicked cranky! Yikes, he snapped at me last night, this morning after our dear FIL woke us at 6:30 AM mowing his lawn, isn't there a law about that somewhere?, he snapped again so I hightailed it out to living room and then in here. He had the audacity to ask me if I got up on the wrong side of the bed, quite snidely I might add, I kept quiet and kept walking, lol! ;)

Yuck! Now that is a bad day! Hang in there!

I hear you, BK. Ours started last night. I resisted the urge to say he was grounded for today since I am not sure I am up for that type of "togetherness" today. I will settle for a series of chores and then let him go to the swim club. If he thinks he will not be permitted to go if he does not do the chores, he will likely do what I ask cheerfully ;) .

I feel for you!! Hopefully, things will not turn out so bad. :yo-yo:

Thanks everyone for the well wishes.

IMGONNABE40, I had to laugh out loud at that--sometimes I think it is harder for us to endure the punishment than it is for them! (I'm resisting the "This'll hurt me more than it'll hurt you" line. LOL) When my 10 year old lost all electronic priveleges a couple weeks ago (No TV, computer, gameboy, or video games of any kind) for 2 days, I thought I was going to lose my mind. It was effectively a grounding, too, since it was rainy and he couldn't go outside.

My eldest has a Magic Card tournament later today, and my youngest will either have a friend over or go to a friend's house, so the thought of losing those treats has pretty much brought them back in line. Whew!

::yes:: You sure have to be careful what you threaten them with ( no t.v., no video games etc.) because you have to be prepared to follow through! Sometimes if you stop and think about it, it is more punishment for you!:p
