Honoring Noah

I have made my donation to GKTW.

I love Peg's idea too, but will they do that?

WDWfan16...I believe that the true "cost" of the paver is minimal and the actual donation goes to fund GKTW which enables more WISH kids to take trips like Noah's. So, by donating to the "paver" you are helping other kids dreams come true!

I have to tell you all. I stumbled upon Noah's wish trip thread one day on the DIS while I was reading trip reports. The child mesmerized me! He smiled with every fiber of his being. The twinkle in his eyes always made me happy. It was also my introduction the the Big Give folks! (I have truely enjoyed participating in this!) He was soooo cute in his outfits! This little boy really has brought a lot of people together and has touched many lives in many ways.

I am new and have not followed his story. I saw this thread and just read the blog and some of the GKTW trip. This is so sad.

Wouldn't the best way to honor him be to donate money to allow another child the experience that he had. A stone is nice but helping another child get their wish is far nicer.

I read he has a star at GKTW (from the blog trip report), so he is forever going to be there.

They money still goes to GKTW! It is the same as it would if we were giving the money as a straight donation. They just do a paver for a donation of $200 or more in the name of a child.

It is my understanding that there is little cost to actually do the paver (cost to GKTW) because that time and engraving is donated...so the $200 DOES go to GKTW so that other children get to enjoy what they did!!

The whole focus of the donation would be to support GKTW. So that other children like Noah, Lauren, Jonah, Mya, Alize, etc could keep going to GKTW.

I see that Becca is your daughter and had a trip. Who is Rachel? Is she another kid who is going to GKTW. I have lots of reading to do when I get a chance.

My thoughts and prayers go out to Noahs family and friends. After reading I finally got off my lazy tush and filled out the forms to volunteer for the Make a Wish Foundation in our area. I have been wanting to do this for years and just kept putting it off. I also got the paperwork so that my family and I can donate our miles to Make a Wish. I have a special needs DS with many many physical problems and we are so blessed with the many people who work with him. Many children at his school have had Wishes granted and it has meant the world to them and their family. I wanted to say thank you to Noah's family for letting us share his smiles and his life. Thank you for letting us get to know your darling one. He has left a lasting impression on my heart.

I have also donated to the GKTW for a paver for Noah.

I just began reading his trip report yesterday evening. When I got to the picture of him in his new little Tigger outfit with the great big smile on his face, my heart melted. I skipped ahead to the end to check on how he was currently doing and was shocked and saddened to learn he had passed away that afternoon. His family is in my thoughts and prayers and may God grant them the strength to get through this difficult time.

I had never heard of GKTW before, what a wonderful organization!

I have seen GKTW first hand and met sweet Noah as well. So it was just a natural thing to do.

Rachel would be honored by it, too.

Is there anyway we can honor the great parent's of this blessed child? I am amazed how unselfishly they have opened their lives and hearts to total strangers. I am sure in no time at all, the paver will be completely paid for. Any ideas?

Knowing Nichole...anything that honors God will honor them.

Cards will be the best thing for them...let them know that you were touched by Noah's story...

I let her know that Noah's sweet song (Little is Much) is something that inspires me to walk!

They are a very special families. I know lots of special families and they are truly special!
