I had it for the first time for dinner tonight and I really liked it.

It is because I have a cold and can't really taste too much? Or does it really taste good to other people?

I have not had that brand but I like turkey sausage. Then again, it's been years since I have had "real" sausage so maybe you can't go by me.

Well, I am really picky about lower calorie/fat food "substitutions." There are things that I would rather just not eat at all, or would rather eat a smaller portion, rather then eat the "healthier" alternative.

Like "light" breads - yuck! And fat free salad dressings - no way! So I was skeptical about the turkey sausage. Like I said, I have a cold, and I am not tasting anything very well, but I THINK that I liked this sausage. On a fat free baguette, it was a very good meal.

But I thought that perhaps it was because I really couldn't taste what I was tasting? So I thought that I would ask other people.

I will have to give it a try again when my nose is unstuffed...

I buy a different brand - I think it is Turkey Hill and our family LOVES it! DH is much like you in that he will not eat any "diet" food - no sugar free, lowfat, etc. and that goes from whole milk to popsicles. BUT he eats the turkey sausage and never once has he complained about the texture or taste. I use it in sauce, to make pepper onion & sausage grinders, a low carb stuffed mushroom, and more!

Well, I guess there are a lot of low cal foods that I WILL eat. I NEVER drink regular pop. I always sweeten my tea with some kind of no sugar sweetener. We use low fat milk - I would go for skim, but DH insists on at least 1/2%. And there ARE other things that I like. And I Can't Believe it's Not Butter Spray on some things.

So I guess I am not as picky as I thought. But like I said - the low cal bread - nope. And no fat free creamy dressings. And turkey stuff - well, I just don't know. At our Weight Watcher meeting I learned that a slice of turkey bacon counts the same as regular bacon so forget that. And I have never been impressed with turkey kielbasi (or smoked sausage.) And turkey hot dogs - I don't think so. Even the all beef 97% fat free hot dog was not wonderful. :( So I was just surprised when I liked the turkey hot sausage. I thought for sure it was because I have limited taste right now.

(Another thing I don't think that I can do is the soy "meat." I tried the steak strips the other day, and the taste was OK, but I did not like the texture. )
