Honeymoon

What moderate resort would be the best to stay in for our honeymoon?

We stayed at POR for our honeymoon in May 1998. We were in the Alligator Bayou area. It was nice! If I had to choose now, I'd choose POFQ though, it is just so beautiful there!! (I haven't stayed at CS or CBR though...)

I would definitely recommend Port Orleans French Quarter for a moderate. It's very quaint and small, so it's a quick walk to get anywhere. Have stayed at the Riverside & Caribbean Beach and it's just way too spread out for my taste.

If it's at all possible (and you can secure a discounted rate), I'd strongly recommend staying at the Wilderness Lodge. This is a fantastic resort, with lots of little quiet places to sit and be together. Another plus is that it is compact in size, so it's a quick walk everywhere. Also, you have the boats to the Magic Kingdom & Contemporary (monorail).

I would say either POFQ or POR. They are both so beautiful and between those 2 I'd choose a mansion at POR but you should go on your tastes for decor. The landscaping is so well done at both resorts it makes you feel so warm and adds a little magic. I know how excited you must be the days on my timer can't go fast enough for my "disney-moon"

I love POR - I think it is romantic.

just depends upon what you think is romantic.

CSR - desert out west

POR - southern plantation, southern bayona

POFQ - the french quarter of new orleans that never was

CBR - the carribean

if you are going off season then you can rent points from a DVC member and stay at VWL, BCV or BWV for $120 a night. (other seasons are more). OKW is $80 a night - these are all studios.

CBR or POFQ. I think the themes of those resorts are the most romantic. It really depends on personal preference.

DH and I spent our 1st anniversary at CBR and we thought it was sooooooooooooooo romantic. We liked the fact that the resort was so spread out. It was very quiet and private. We were there in July and there were times when we were the only people in the quiet pool. We also loved lying in the hammocks on the beach and watching the Epcot fireworks.
