Some background info:

We are getting married in WDW and doing a split stay with the Poly & the WL. We were originally staying at the WL during our entire stay, but we decided to do a split-stay of the Poly & the WL instead.

We are staying at the Poly (club level) during the first half of our honeymoon.

For the day after our wedding, I'm trying to figure out if we should eat at Artist's Point at the WL or Kona Cafe at the Poly for dinner??

We have done Kona breakfast before and we really loved it. We have never been to Artist's Point before. The menu looks great at both.

We will be there the week leading up to Christmas.

So, which one would you choose?

I've had dinner at both of them in the past month, and they're completely different experiences.

At Artist Point, the food is more innovative, better quality, and the presentation is prettier. Plus, the atmosphere is usually quiet and serene, thanks to pleasant background music and views of the forest.

At Kona, the food is decent for a 1-credit WDW restaurant. The atmosphere is similar to a sit-down restaurant at an airport (that's the best comparison I can think of), thanks to the noise and bustle of the Poly lobby.

For a more special meal, I'd definitely recommend Artist Point. It's my favorite restaurant at WDW (more than any of the other signatures, Bluezoo, or Bistro de Paris).

I voted AP before I throughly read your post. Now that I see you are going to be at WL later in your stay I'd say go to Kona for the convenience and hit AP while you are at WL. Kona is certainly a good take. AP is just a bit nicer, and certainly different.

We will not have a chance for AP during our WL portion of our trip. We could I suppose, but it would involve changing around alot of plans, which is just not worth it for us.

We are leaning towards AP, but still not 100% sure-? We currently have ADR's for both, but I want to cancel one this week, to make it fair for others.

First let me say congratulations on your wedding. We honeymooned at Poly and have been married for almost 26 years so I wish you well. You are staying at my two favorite resorts.

I would choose Artist Pointe. You can take the boat from Poly to there which is a pretty ride. Artist Pointe is very laid back and usually quiet. I would definitely eat at Kona at some point in your stay because the food there is very good as well. Artist Pointe is just more romantic for the night of your wedding.

While I love both, I would definitely pick AP for the atmosphere. Much more romantic and quiet.

Thank you!!

You have sold me on the Artist's Point reservation!!!

We were originally staying at the WL for the night we booked AP, so we were thinking maybe we should just stay around the Poly that night since we are staying there instead, but you guys sold me on the pretty boat ride from the Poly to the WL!!!

I'm thinking we might stop by the Kona sushi bar at some point during our Poly part of our stay instead :)

Thanks again & thank you for the well wishes!!:goodvibes Now, if only these 3 months would hurry up and get here..... :lovestruc
