When you make your reservation, you can have the honeymoon noted in the reservation.

In reality, there are a lot of people onboard celebrating something (honeymoon, graduation, birthday, promotion, new house, new baby, whatever). Don't be disappointed that you may not be singled out.

As noted by previous posters, there isn't much extra that was provided as a perk above and beyond what is normally included. We got married on the ship in 2012 and outside of the buttons and some special plate dressings at Palo and Remy, there wasn't too much extra. Of course, it was still an awesome time!

Yes, have it noted. I don't know if they have buttons at check-in or if you'll have to go to Guest Services - or they might have them in your cabin if noted.

BUT as Shmoo pointed out, you're not going to be the only ones celebrating something - it's not quite to the level as at the parks where pretty much everybody is celebrating something it seems, but there will be many other celebrations going on.

Example: We had a cruise to celebrate my parents' 45th anniversary AND my sister and my birthdays (same day for the b'day, different years), so that was 3 celebrations within one group. There were specially decorated plates at Palo, and one night my parents got the little round chocolate mousse cake thing and the next my sister and I split one. And at the table next to us in AP there was a big anniversary and something like an 80th birthday or something. So between two tables holding like 12 people total, there were 5 celebrations going on for the cruise.

So will something be done if noted? Most likely, yes. Will it be big and huge? Most likely no. But that shouldn't diminish the trip in any way for you - you're there to celebrate each other and should be focused on that and not "what will they do for me??" :goodvibes

We cruised for our honeymoon a year ago. As PPs have said, there are a lot of people onboard celebrating something, so keeping your expectations realistic is a good idea.

I will say this, though. We found that when we wore our Honeymoon pins, it wasn't so much about perks or anything, just that the CMs all went very out of their way to congratulate us, to ask questions about our wedding, to share good wishes and smiles, all throughout the ship. We really appreciated that. We were in such a happy honeymoon-y mood, and it seemed like the whole crew was celebrating with us. :yay: So I can't promise you free things or special perks, but you'll feel special nonetheless.

When son honeymooned and told them in the reservation, the table that they were seated at was 4 honeymoon couples ... they thought that was fun.

Definitely note it. Even if you don't get perks or upgrades, you'll get a lot of nice treatment! My husband and I went to Alaska this summer on our honeymoon and noted it in our reservation. We didn't get a button or a cake at dinner (I'd previously gotten those when I went for my birthday). However, our room steward went all out with the towel animals and rose petals. She was new to DCL and we were her first honeymoon couple, and she told us she wanted to make the trip super special for us. When we got to our room we had a Happy Honeymoon note and a basket of fruit waiting for us, and we also had a Happy Honeymoon note signed by the captain and hotel director. Every day after that we had another plate of goodies delivered to our room in the afternoon. I'm not sure exactly who was responsible for it, but I'm pretty sure it was the room steward. Our waiter at Palo brunch and dinner also make sure to congratulate us, and we got the "Happy Honeymoon" dessert plate at brunch.
