Day 14 12th of November: Disneys last fling.
Up early. 8:45 shuttle to epcot. Didnt touch the pizza as belly feels very bad. Once at epcot we catch the shuttle to animal kingdom as we ought to at least look at this place before we leave. I get to the gates and im already regretting my decision. Its SO busy here. Thousands and thousands of people so we quickly rush to the bugs life and queue for no more than 5 minutes before we get in. I love this 3d show its very well done. We then rush over to dinoland and do the dino ride which is ok I guess. From there we walk to the safari but it has a wait of 1 hour so we elect to skip it and head to mgm. So we make our way back down to the entrance, fighting the surge of crowds which are still pouring into the park in their thousands.
On the way down we take our time to stop and look at the animals and stores. And after a particularly bad incident where we nearly get run over by some old ladies on carts we stop to talk to the DVC guy. Chatted to him for quite a while and planning to sign up for this in the future.
Once outside the park we snag a bus to mgm and let the fun commence. Instantly we grab fast passes for ToT and ride RnR. Then we ride ToT and head over to re do star tours. Once we were in the shop after the ride I plucked up the courage to ask to look at the expensive light sabres in the case behind the till.
Oooh soo much fun. They are 1:1 scale metal replicas of the ones used in the movies with a protected fluorescent tube on the end that lights up like a proper sabre. They also make noises when you hit them and twirl them etc. unfortunately they are $180. hehe. Wish I could have got one though. Jessica takes my picture and then asks to give it a try.
Now shed been mocking me alllllllllllllllllll week for wanting one but I hand it to her anyway. She ignites it, gives it a twirl. Goes wide eyed, and says I WANT ONE TOOOOOOO at which point I bust out laughing at her and give her a real ribbing over it. By this point a crowd had gathered watching us play with it so I give a mini demonstration of it and hand it off to people to look at.
By now its close to 3pm so we walk over to by ToT and grab a bite to eat. Then we use our fast passes and ride it a few more times for good measure.
We then wander round for a bit and do some shopping for gifts before heading back to ToT. its now 6pm and the parks close to closing so we just ride ToT over and over and over till it shut at 7pm hehe. This is Jessicas favourite ride by far so we rode it till they wouldnt let us back in hehe.
The transport in general was busy at this point so we opt to walk along the path again via broadwalk to epcot. Once there we sat down in England with a nice Boddingtons before strolling along to china. Here we got ourselves some more gorgeous rice bowls to eat before wandering down to the innovations area. We had a brief walk around before staking out a great spot on the main walkway to the lake. Here we sat and watched the Illuminations show for the 3rd and final time feeling very sad and dejected that we had to go home tomorrow.
After it finished we caught the taxi home. Packed up the majority of our cases and got into bed very very sad and depressed that tomorrow we would be flying home.
