Am I missing something with the pics in the review? They look like nice rooms but not sure about a honeymoon suite. Maybe the pics are just bad?

I got that impression, too. It did seem larger than a regular room though, so that may be it.

I can confirm this is the 'Honeymoon Suite'. We stayed in possibly this exact room in August 2012.

Was it nice? Worth it? Doesn't seem much different from a regular room - aside from the jacuzzi. Seems like a one bedroom at Animal Kingdom Villa (Kidani Village) may be better as it seems like it would be more space and the shower / jacuzzi in those rooms are very nice. Thoughts?

It was really nice, but we only stayed for one night. This was our one free night included with our wedding. If we were spending the money, we would probably stay in a regular room at a deluxe resort and use the difference to add on more enhancements to our trip (fireworks cruise, nicer dining choices, etc)

Only if you are a wishes bride, and your guests have booked 25 room nights between them. Your free night can be at any resort of your choice, and they only ever guarantee a standard room. Some brides do get complimentary upgrades to concierge level, or to honeymoon suites etc, but don't expect it.

Not just wishes brides, my sister @Disney_Alli got a free night at the Poly and she's an escape bride... You just need to have a room block and more than 25 room nights.

I'll let them comment on the Honeymoon suite, but the 1BR at AKV (especially at Kidani) is DEF going to get you more space, overall. But you're not nearly as close to MK, either.

The Master bedroom portion of the villa might be slightly smaller than the room in those pictures, IMHO (the sitting area in the picture looks bigger than the desk/sitting area in front of the sliders in the villas). But the full living room and kitchen area are going to make up for that. In addition, honestly, I think the jacuzzi tub in the villas is bigger and....um...more easily accommodates 2 people. At least given the pictures linked above. You also get an extra bathroom, at AKV Kidani...though I'm not sure that's really a factor for a honeymooning couple.
