Honeymoon - split stay?

Need everyone's advice, please Here's the deal: my man has NEVER been, but I've taken my DD 19 times in the last 6 years. She & I love to split our stay, so I thought splitting our honeymoon stay between an MK & Epcot resort would give him a good "feel" of WDW. We're renting DVC points & have 3 nts. @ VWL & 3nts. @ BCV (that will be new for me, too!). He's a muscle man/Texas football coach/bull rider, so VWL is the perfect atmosphere for him, but I'm a tiny bit worried about BCV. It'll be cold (Jan.16-22), so again VWL is perfect. BCV allows us direct access to the BW, World Showcase, and romantic Illuminations fireworks (if not from our balcony, then from the bridge to BW)
What do ya'll think? It's the second marriage for both of us & 10 years in the making! Is this plan a good one for a Disney "newbie", or should I do VWL all week? Thanks for your help!

Great Plan! I am a newlywed and my husband and I split our honeymoon stay between the GF Concierge and the YC Concierge and loved that we had access to the monorail and EPCOT resorts as the respective locations. We enjoyed our 12 nights at WDW after a long cruise on the Disney Magic!

I wouldn't worry about the BC being not that macho! It is a great place, wonderful pool and so close to EPCOT and the ESPN sports club that your husband-to-be will be fine!

I like it! Remember, you can enjoy epcot dining and entertainment at night with the Epcot hotels without having to fight for the busses at the end of the day. (Not what I would want for a first impression memory). Have fun.

I think it's a good plan, too. And I'm sure your can't expect WDW to be all-macho, all the time, so don't worry about the BC's atmosphere.
