:confused3 We have a studio booked @ WLV for our wedding night, but was wondering..... would the Honeymoon "room" be better for us, or just a courtyard view room for that matter?
I read about the 1 bdrm villa being a better option, but we can't afford that at the moment.
So, opinions needed/wanted.
Honeymoon suite @ WL, regular courtyard view room or Studio @ WLV?

I would think WL 'honeymoon suite' would be more than '1-bedroom at vwl'

could be wrong - but don't think so.

have you considered renting a reservation from a DVC member? of course if you are staying fri or sat - this is NOT a good solution.

but sun-thurs (leaving on Fri) it is excellent.

Actually, the suite we looked at was cheaper than a 1-bdrm @ VWL by about $50. Now I'm actually wondering if just the regular courtyard view room would be better for us. We aren't planning on spending that much time in our room, we're going to take advantage of the evening EMH that night. Since it's only one night, I'm trying to decide if I should just get a room @ WL and save a bit of money. :confused3
I didn't know you could rent from a DVC member.
We have our's booked for the studio already, 1 night, October 22.

Be aware that a courtyard view can be a room overlooking the VWL courtyard and quiet pool :guilty: I personally would take a courtyard view over the studio for a variety of reasons:

Newer rooms at the WL and the decor there appeals to us more than the VWL. We like the new flat screen TV and headboards and find the villas to be a little too "corny" on the nature theme. They remind of the cheap cabins we used to rent up in NH. The WL decor is a little bit more tasteful and appealing (Thats of course our opinion)

I prefer being in the main lodge as well, especially for having easy access to the main pool, dock and beach area, and quick service eateries.

The views can be "better" depending on where your room is; but most CV rooms do in fact face the pool area and bay lake. Waking up to the view each morning would be amazing! Though some VWL do have a nice view!

For a special occasssion like that, we would still prefer a studio to a standard guest room. It's nice to have a seperate seating area to sit and relax and not be forced to sit on the bed all the time to watch TV, eat, etc. Again though, we do prefer the WL over the VWL, and the pluses of the lodge (room decor, amentities, etc) outweight the amentities of the villa. The difference in decor is just too drastic for me, and I feel there is a major difference in quality.

Either way though... your a disney bride :cloud9: Congrats!

I vote the honeymoon room. My DH and I stayed in one last December for our honeymoon and it was wonderful. We had a view of the trees and could see the upper half of the castle. The room was very spacious and the bed was comfy. But the absolute best part was the tub, it was big enough for both of us (not anything naughty  we just sat facing each other and talking or reading) and the water jets were very relaxing and soothing after a long day at the parks. Also it was very quite in our room since the only other room nearby was the other honeymoon room across the way. So I would say pack some bubble bath and take the homeymoon room I think it would be worth it especially for your wedding night.
