Honeymoon resgistry... where does the $ really go?

I have heard that when guests purchase a gift from the honeymoon registry, however much they purchase just gets put on our gift card and we can use it for anything we want... is this true? I am asking because some of the items we have registered for we may not be needing anymore, and am wondering if I should change the registry or if it really doesn't matter. Thanks!

Yes this is true, whatever your guests purchase, the amount goes onto one gift card and you use it on whatever you want at any Disney location. The only thing that will really make a difference if you do want to change it would be the amounts, if you want to make it more or less expensive between the items you don't want any more and any new items. I think on the website it says 2 weeks, after that give them a call. I waited a month before I called and they sent me a new one right away.

I got mine pretty quickly. I think it came in about a week. If it's been longer than a month, I'd definately call!
