Honeymoon Questions

I'm going to Disney 5/30/05-6/7/05 for our honeymoon and we're staying at the Port Orleans French Quarter...I can't wait!!

What are the chances of getting an upgraded room or any other special treatment to make the trip more magical??

I haven't been to Disney in 5 years and a lot has changed I'm sure, I've never stayed at this hotel either, how does it rate to the other hotels on property?

We actually got married there last May and had our honeymoon there too, and we didn't get anything extra at all! I really just think it depends on the person who checks you in, waits on you at the restaurants, etc. The girl who checked us in was actually really rude to us and I ended up telling her manager later. If you get the Mickey and Minnie wedding ears, I think you would get noticed a lot more and get a lot more "extras", but we just didn't feel like wearing those.

Thanks!! we booked the trip through AAA, and our agent told the person multiple times "VIP - Honeymoon" and said she'll see what she can do to get us a better room with a king bed/waterview.

I totally want to get those ears, that's what I remember seeing all the time when I went when I was 15...I remember saying "I'm going to come here for my honeymoon and wear those too" and now it's actually happening. I'm so excited and can't wait, I'm driving my fiance nuts talking about it already!

Considering it's a top three honeymoon spot in north America, there are so many honeymooners there that they really can't do something for everyone. Mention it's your honeymoon when you check in and ask if there are king or waterview rooms available and see what happens. Don't expect anything extra, but be pleasantly surprised if you get it

I don't really expect anything at all, I'm just trying to make this the most special trip possible, since it'll be my fiance's first time there. I'm glad that it's more of a honeymoon-ey hotel than say PC or CR...
