My fiance and I are going to take our honeymoon to Disney in December!!! I haven't been in almost 10 years...do you gusy have any suggestions for what we can do to make it really special?
We are staying at the Animal Kingdom for 10 days 9 nights and have the dining plan and park hopper passes for all days.
Any suggestions will be very appreciated :cloud9:

If you are going this year, you'd better hurry. When I talked to my travel agent, she thought I wanted to go this December instead of next, and she told me AKL was sold out for this Dec. It's the year of a million dreams, and Disney is booking up so fast.

Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party! They have it a few nights a week in December - it's an extra ticket you have to buy, but it's worth it. They limit the attendance, make it snow on main street, hand out cookies and cocoa, have a christmas parade, and other christmas shows. It's really nice.

Checkout the spectacle of lights at mgm at night.. have cocoa, dance in the street to christmas music :)

Go to the spa and get his and hers massages..

Have fun!

If you don't mind spending a little more money I would book a tour or 2. My DF and I will be there Dec 16th-23rd for a site visit and are planning on taking the Around the World Segway Tour and the Seas Aqua Tour. I've heard great reviews about both of them! The Segway tour isn't that expensive either...after my Disney Visa discount it ended up being $68/ person. We've also set aside a day just to go see the decorations at the different resorts. HTH! :goodvibes

I meant to suggest some tours too.. Nasupak's suggestion for the Segway Tour is an excellent one. It's tons of fun. If you are into MK check out the Keys to the Kingdom. I'm not sure if they have this one anymore, but if you are *really* *really* into Disney there used to be an all day tour (not kidding, it's like 7 hours!) called Backstage Magic I think. DH2b took it a few years back .. I couldn't handle the thought of parkhopping all four parks and backstage areas in one day, but he had an absolute blast and still talks about it!

Also, there is a tour they only do during the holiday time. It's called Yuletide Fantasy, I think.. It was pretty good, they take you to see the different decorations around the different parks, and tell you about various Christmas traditions (when you are @ epcot) At the end you get to see the Holiday Services building (very cool! it's where they build all the trees and decorations) We took the tour last year, and were given a pin and a gorgeous Christmas ornament, both of which were only available for taking the tour.

Have Fun!

We did the Keys to the Kingdom and the Segway tour both in May and they are both really good!

We are doing the yuletide fantasy tour in December (we get married on the 5th Dec).

we had a couples massage at the mandara spa at the swan & dolphin. it was so relaxing & romantic, we started in a private jacuzzi room with bubbles, candles & aromatherapy then moved to the next room for our side by side massages. we were there for over 2 hours & it was worth every dime. i definetly recommend a couples spa treatment.

congratulations & your going to love akl!

I will be there 23 - 31. How about the following:

Sleigh ride (I have not looked into these too much but I think they have them at WL)

Fireworks Cruise?

All the best,
Lauren
