Hello all!
My fiance and I are heading over to WDW in a week for our honeymoon. I have been there many times and he has been there once. However, this time we are wanting to do the romance side of things. Any tips from previous honeymooners on where to go and what to see?!
Thanks!

I didn't go on my honeymoon to WDW. Last trip in Dec. my DH and I had a romantic dinner at Bistro de Paris. It's above the Chefs de france. It was so good and the place is so pretty. The food and service was awesome. We really be going back.

PrattersloveDW I have the same first name as you :wave2: . I was thinking that the sunset safari at AKL might be a romantic thing to do. You could also do an illuminations cruise. They have an old fashioned wooden boat called the Breathless and it seems more intimate than going on the pontoon boats.

Congratulations and have a great time :Pinkbounc

We spent alot of time in WS at Epcot. At night it seemed very romantic. We also would go to the bakery in Epcot and sit outside and watch the dancing fountain. We ate at V&A on the first night of our honeymoon and that started the whole trip off perfectly.

Here are some the things we did:

We ate a very romantic (and yummy) dinner at Jiko. I would highly recommend eating there.

Other restaurants to consider - California Grill, and Spoodles.

We also did a Wishes cruise, DH arranged for champange and chocolate covered strawberries on the boat. So yummy, and the view of the fireworks was fantastic.

We also went Parasailing at the Contemporary. It was tons of fun!

Explore the countries at EPCOT and grab a good seat for Illuminations.

Don't forget to wander around some of the resorts too. You can find lots of spots to sit and cuddle and be cute!

Wear the bride and groom hats. You may get some Disney magic sprinkled on you!

Have a fabulous time and congratulations.

Congrats!!!

My husband and I had our magical honeymoon at WDW and it was awesome! We wore our bride and groom ears to MK and we were chosen to be the Grand Marshals of the Share a Dream Come True Parade! Several cast members moved us to the front of the lines at several rides and we got a neat little "Magical Moments" certificate from the super nice ladies at the Disney at Home store at Downtown Disney.

I would recommend riding the boat that goes from Downtown Disney to Port Orleans (and back). It is nice and quiet and really romantic. The ride is pretty long... good for lots of snuggle time! Plus you can see all of the lights of Pleasure Island, pass the new Saratoga Springs, etc.

You didn't mention where you were staying, but POR also has lots of nice little secluded walking trails.

Enjoy yourselves!!!

Congratulations!!!
We honeymooned at WDW July 2002. We had a few romantic dinners....Victoria & Albert's, California Grill, Fulton's Crab House.

We saw Fantasy in the Sky from the California grill! AWESOME!
We received Magical Moments from CM in the Parks. We got a few pics from the rides that take your pic without u knowing it. They just handed it to us & congratulated us.

Try to get the Breathless Cruise....we weren't able to. Just looks romantic. We also sat on the beach at the GF And watched the fireworks & had wine in Mickey Glasses a friend had sent to our room as a surprise!

Plenty to do! ENJOY!
Have a MAGICAL time & Best wishes for a lifetime of happiness!

we are going on our honeymoon this year and have a CP package for the first night (our 1 day anniversary) we have a 6:40 sitting at the show and a 8:30 ps at Chefs de france. I think wandering our way threw an empty world show case(after dinner) will be so romantic can't wait to kiss my future husband around the world:goodvibes

Thank you so much everyone for all of your advice! We are really looking forward to our trip and after the things we read from ya'll, we know it will be great! By the way, ilovedale3, we are staying at the Swan. I really like being in the Epcot vicinity. We love to walk around there. We know that we will be eating a lot in Epcot, I have not done this much in the past but have heard great things...especially about Bistro de Paris! I am a regular Disney goer but never been there for the romance! And I heard a couple of things that I don't know much about so if you could tell me more, we'd appreciate it!!

Princess Pooh (nice name by the way! ;) ) Did you do the Illuminations cruise? Just wondering what it is like? Beautiful show though, I think we may have to check that out!

Helen: Where do you set up arrangements for the Wishes cruise?? I think I may just have to make sure we have the strawberries and champagne too! Sounds wonderful!!!

AlwaysAPrincess: What is the Breathless cruise???

Jazznms: Wow, sounds like you two are going to have an amazing time!!! I am jealous of your CP package!! Best wishes to the two of you. Keep me posted and let me know how it goes!!!

Thanks again to everyone! And don't worry, we will be wearing our Ears! I have to show off my new husband! :earsboy: Will keep you all posted!

Shari - you can make arrangements for all the specialty cruises through 1-407-WDW-PLAY. DH was in charge of making all the honeymoon arrangements, so I am not sure, but I think you can also make arrangements for the strawberries and champagne through them too If not, I'm sure they can tell you the number to call.

The Illuminations and Breathless crusises can be arranged from that same number. The Breathess (its a circa 1930's wooden speed boat that is located at the Yacht Club Dock) is available for Illuminations cruises at night, and during the day you rent it to be zoomed around the lagoon!

Have a romantic Honeymoon!

Shari...
Just like HMGOlden said....call 407-WDW-PLAY. ANd yes you can get champagne & strawberries for your cruise!! ROMANTIC:love2:

HAPPY HONEYMOON!!!:bride: :groom:
Also, don't forget if you can't get a cruise....head to Poly beach or GF beach for fireworks....or just make your own!!! LOL:teeth:
