Honeymoon disneyworld, disney cruise or both

Im hoping that when i do get married it would be during the summer since the weather is so nice in cali and i get 3 months off since i work for a school anyways. I know its extremely hot in florida but would you still go to disneyworld or a disney cruise or pick something else all together? has anyone done both like a 7 day and 4 days at disneyworld?

I haven't done the 7 day cruise yet, but I have done a 3, and 4 day. I highly recommend doing a longer cruise! The three day, by the time you unpacked you had to repack and leave. I hope you take that long long cruise, it sounds wonderful!

Lol actually i am going on the repo cruise but with my mom and cousin in aug. I hope it wil be fun at the least very relaxing

My fiance' and I debated about this for a little bit. When we first talked about marriage, we both agreed to do our entire honeymoon at WDW. Then her mom gave her the idea of doing the Disney Cruise and a couple of days at WDW. I said I wanted all seven days at WDW and we went back and forth on this, not that I don't want to do the Disney Cruise, just not for our honeymoon. I told my fiance' that if she allows us a full week at WDW, I'll put us up at the resort that she's always wanted to stay at- the Grand Floridian. Of course, she agreed, so we both get what we want and can't wait to go!

My DF and I just changed this very thing. We originally had a 4 day WDW trip at the Poly and 3 nite cruise but we changed it to 8 days/7 nights in POFQ. Here was our reasoning:

1. We would lose basically 2 days to travel. One on Thursday when you go to the ship and one on Sunday when you leave the ship.

2. The cost was almost 2000 less.

3. We love POFQ. We want to spend time not only at the parks but the resort.

4. We don't want to feel pressured into thinking if we don't do it now, we won't get to do it.

BTW, I haven't changed my signature yet.

Wow so jealous of you taking the repo in Augus I have friends that are also taking that one and some more that are taking the August one and it was sooo tempting but sometimes you just got to make those decisions.

Talking of decisions - we did the 7 day Eastern plus 6 nights at Beach Club Villas for our honeymoon and we loved it so much that this year we decided for our Anniversary to take the 7 day Western and then do 6 nights at Wilderness Lodge Villas

I couldn't get the DFi excited about WDW enough until I said, we could also do the DCL and then he said ok! So we booked a land/sea vacation with three days on land and four at sea. But, we are arriving at WDW two days earlier for the wedding and so forth.

We rae doing both a WDW stay and a 4 night DCL cruise. We have both been to WDW many times and once together and we wanted to do something we both have not done so thats were the cruise comes in. We can't though go with out staying at WDW. So we did the land and sea with a few added nights. So our honeymoon will be 2 nights at Wilderness lodge to start off, then over to the beach club for three nights and then the cruise and then a couple more nights at WDW but I can't post where cause it's a surprise and I do not what my Dfi to find out untill we drive up to the entrace. I jsut can't wait for our wedding and disneymoon and I'm sure what ever you choose will be magical.

I think it kind of depends on what month in the summer you're wanting to go. My fiance and I are taking a 7 night cruise next summer to celebrate his June 6th birthday, we had thought about staying a few nights at a Disney resort but he's reluctant to stand outside in the heat for too long. If you were planning on going in May then I would say definitely stay at a Disney resort for awhile, anytime later than that then you just kind of have to decide if you want to go in the heat and the crowds.
