We are taking our honeymoon to Disney in May. I've been to Disney a lot of times but always with a kid...finance' hasn't been to Disney in 20 something years so I'm trying to make this a really nice trip for him.

We are staying at Animal Kingdom lodge with the savannah view. (I've never stayed here before)

I'm trying to look at dining reservations. We aren't fancy smancy people and looking to have some fun. I'm trying to put places that I've never eaten at before too.

So far we have Narcossee's, Kona (breakfast), Boma (breakfast). Finance' really loves breakfast so I've heard those are the two best breakfast places.

What are some other restaurants you would recommend for lunch and dinner. We are up for character meals too.

Sanaa for lunch, ideally, but dinner is fabulous as well, simply less animal viewing.

The Wave is also great for breakfast.

Tiffins would be lovely for an AK park evening, or hit Tusker House for any meal to meet Donald Duck in a safari hat among other characters.

Many will advocate for Be Our Guest for dinner, which is fair. It's not that fancy -- it's in a theme park, after all.

Rose & Crown is fun at Epcot, and Restaurant Marrakesh is a forgotten joy.

Artist Point.

All restaurants are WDW are great! You really cant go wrong at any Epcot World Showcase restaurant for lunch or dinner. I love San Angel Inn, Les Chefs de France, and Via Napoli and San Angel Inn? Did I mention San Angel Inn. Worth mentioning at least twice!

Unique for me is Beirgarten. We dont have German themed restaurants where I live, so I like going there too. ONly downfall is you will gt seated with another couple/family. I personally dont mind, but some people dont like it. There is live music and its just fun!

A little on the romantic - fun side is the Spirit of Aloha dinner show. Cute show with a spectacular ending of hula and fire dancing. The ambiance at Luau Cove with the tiki torches, tropical gardens, the beach with hammocks...just nice and relaxing! And who doesnt look amazing in tiki torch lighting? You will wow your new spouse! All you can drink beer/wine and sangria are included in the price, as is the gratuity, so dont let the price scare you away! Its a great value.

Liberty Tree Tavern for lunch is really good. Sci - Fi is unique and pretty good for lunch. Its the only place you can sit side by side and not look awkward!!! (to me its strange when couples sit next to eachother and the other side of the table is empty!!) And.....San Angel Inn :)

You cant go wrong anywhere! Look at the menus and see what appeals to you. Congratulations!

^ I was just about to suggest the California Grill brunch! I can't recommend it highly enough!

For our Honeymoon in August we did Hoop dee doo, that was fun and we got to get up and dance (along with other couples celebrating) so fun!
We also did Ohana, 1900 Park Fare Dinner (the stepmother was hilarious), Trattoria on the Boardwalk.. They totally made our dinner so special with several surprises & the food was delicious.

Pro tip: At 1900 Park Fare dinner, it is entertaining to tell the stepsisters you just got married.

Saw it happen at a nearby table once. Was hilarious.

I think that a room service breakfast is a must-do on a honeymoon! I don't know that I would bother going to another resort for breakfast unless you were going to an adjacent theme park--e.g. go to MK after Kona (Tonga Toast ). The Wave is tasty for breakfast, but I don't think it warrants a trip over there from AKL. Cal Grill brunch yes, but not The Wave. I would definitely do all the restaurants in AKL once and really enjoy being in the resort, it's an amazing place and going at a slower pace and enjoying the art and exhibits will be fun.

I think Chefs de France has a fun date atmosphere. 50's Prime Time would be fun --I've seen them do really cute antics for honeymooners!

We enjoy Yatchman's, a top notch steakhouse that isn't fussy. The GFC now has a combined breakfast/lunch menu so that's an option for a break from MK at lunch time.

I love AKL. If I was on my honeymoon and staying there, I would see what Club level costs during your stay. There is something really serene sitting on the balcony with your glass of wine or cup of coffee watching the animals as they graze. Also, check out the activities there becuase this is not a resort to use as a crashpad between parks. It is stunning! I loved the art tour and the kitchen tour there.

I like Narcoossees for dinner, and woudl try to time it to see Wishes from the veranda, if possible.

Fiancé likes breakfast so Boma and Kona are good choices, but I would also suggest looking at Captains Grill or Tratorria al Forno if you are in the Epcot area in the morning.

For dinner, Sanaa was one of my family's favorite dining experiences. I was not with them becuase I kept the Princesses and dined with royalty at 1900 PF, but they raved about the meal.

One of my favorite meals was Tratorria al Forno. The service was stellar and the food was really good. I felt it was reasonably priced as well.

FOr a unique dining experience I would suggest Tiffins in DAK. This was not just a meal, (we planned a late lunch) it was a tour through the imagineers eyes. The food wa excellent, and the server was so knowledgeble, but honestly one of the highlights of this meal was walking through teh fdining rooms to enjoy all of the artwork, much is sketches the imagineers made as they planned this magnificent park. We ended our meal by stopping into Nomad Lounge and elaxing in that gorgeous setting. The servers are friendly and will gladly help choose a beverage or chat about he park and all of its exhibits. CLose the day by stopping at teh Tree to watch that show. I was with a friend, but if I was on my honeymoon, I think it would have turned from a magical day to one that was romantic and magical.

I agree that if you want to have a blast, book 1900 PF and let teh Tremaine Family react to your marriage!

Don't forget the restaurants at Disney Springs, they're among my favorites: Raglan Road, Morimoto Asia and Boathouse!

Our favorite places we went for our honeymoon were:
San Angel Inn
Biergarten
Sanaa
Hoop Dee Doo Revue (so much fun!)
California Grill
50's Prime Time Cafe
