What are my chances for a BWV Boardwalk View in mid May at the 7 month window. This will be our honeymoon and crossing my fingers its available. if not waitlist it is, and if that fails my home resort AKL will do just fine as long as im in Disney. Im just hoping for BWV Boardwalk view.

I've stayed at BWV mid-May for the last three years and got a boardwalk view at 7 months every time.

Good luck on your reservation. As noted, a 7 month reservation is possible. Do get on the wait list since many times they come through.

Congratulaltions on your upcoming wedding and enjoy the honeymoon.

If you do have to waitlist (or even as you are trying to change) be sure to let them know it's your honeymoon. It might get you a little bit of extra pixie dust.

I would second this statement. Although it wasn't with DVC, when I had to book the POLY for my honeymoom many years ago, the CM seemed to work harder to get me the nights I wanted because I mentioned hurricane and honeymoon. Of course I was chuckling about having to make a second set of honeymoon plans 3 weeks before the wedding and keeping it light and not upset at anyone (I believe the true key here - asking for the help, not demanding it). It took a little longer than the standard call to book a room, but the CM was able to get me everything night but the last one. We decided to not use one of the nights and ended up visiting a friend in Tampa who wasn't able to make it to the wedding for first night and stayed close to the airport the last night (early flight). So somehow, we had some pixie dust directed our way. :goodvibes

The details were: 1988, hurricane Gilbert wipes out Cancun 4 weeks before our wedding. We were told that the package we booked was being cancelled and our money returned. So we decided on DW. My parents wondered why we wanted to go to DW, but we had a great time! Disney even sent a complementary bottle of champagne to the room the night we checked in! Wasn't expecting it and was wondering why someone was knocking on our door :-).

Oh i will surely tell them its my honeymoon in hopes of getting a little pixie dust!!! Just counting down the days tll my 7 month window.

We did a split stay between Vero Beach and BWV for our honeymoon in May of 2008. I was prepared to be waitlisted for a Boardwalk view and called in the first day I could. In fact I was more worried about getting a clown view room. But when I called there was no problem getting a Boardwalk view at all.

I'll be hoping you have the same experience!

(And definately hype up the honeymoon.)

One month till my 7 month window. Please Please be available

Good luck! We hit our 7 month window and it was the week before easter. There were one bedrooms in a board walk view and standard view. There were also 1 bdrms at BCV. The studio's were harder to come by!!

Good! We got it at the 7 month window for early may of this past year, and we weven got our waitlist for one extra night.

Congrats!!!

Is it your first time staying therE?? :lovestruc

Yes this will be our first time staying at BWV. We have stayed at Carribean Beach before joining DVC and since joining DVC, BLT and BC

Congratulations on your upcomming wedding.

My home resort is OKW but I was able to get AKV for my son's honeymoon in May 2010 at the 7 month window and then later (at 4 month window) was able to add on at BLT. I know that Boardwalk view is difficult sometimes but I think you have a good chance.

We had a BW view studio this past May. My son and his family also got one for the same time. We were on the phone with MS at the same time. DS got the BW view right away and we were on the waitlist for 1 week. Happy Honeymoon.

13 more days!!!! Till my window. Now i have to deal with the new system upgrade and decide if i want to split the ressi so i can choose different dining plans during my stay. IF waiting for just the room was hard enough.

It might be possible. Yesterday I booked a room (Studio) for my daughter and family at BWV in a standard view for May 7-14. I was shocked that a standard was open for the entire week. I called expecting to book a preferred and waitlist for the standard. I already have a standard for us that I booked at the 11 month window. So hopefully you'll do well too. Are you there over the Memorial Day weekend? That might be your only glitch. Good luck.

I was able to book most of our may1-10 trip on friday - BWV, BW view studio. Had to waitlist 2 of the nights, but I think our chances are good as we go thru this every year :rolleyes1 we just got back on weds, and booking this trip made me Feel a bit better about coming home (btw, we were waitlisted the entire 7 months for the same, and never got it for the sept/ oct trip. F+WF had everything booked solid)

Let us know how you make out:goodvibes
