Hi all, Im new to the site and am going to WDW towards the end of April for my honeymoon. Can anybody give me some hints and helpful facts to make the honeymoon more enjoyable. We are not staying on disney property but will be there for a week......any recomendations?????? Also any romantic ideas as well are more than appreciated:hug:

There are so many great things to do at WDW for honeymooners.
-Book some romantic dinners. Victoria & Albert's is obviously the cream of the crop, although it is definitely pricey. I would either pick up a dining guide book or poke around on the internet to read what restaurants would best fit your interests. Some of our favorites were California Grill, Les Chefs de France, Yachtsman Steakhouse, and Ohana.

-Look into some non-park things to do. Fort Wilderness has lots of options. We went on a carriage ride on our honeymoon, and we loved it. I understand that they have horseback riding, bike rentals, etc. Anything that gets you away from the crowds for a bit helps your trip feel more romantic.

-I would consider some of the tours. We did a few special events at Food & Wine Festival and had a fantastic time. I think the off-the-beaten-path stuff makes you feel like you're getting more out of the World.

I agree with everything the PP said. We will be honeymooning at disney for about 2 weeks after the wedding. It really depends on when your honeymoon will be.

Out of park events can be some of the best times. We are planning on tours, horseback riding, parasailing, boat rentals, mini golf and several other things like that.

Different restaurants can be a treat too. Plan the california grill around when wishes will be.

if you need anymore ideas let me know.

For us the most romantic and memorable things were pretty simple. We loved curling up with hot chocolate and snacks to watch a Princess and the Frog on the beach at the Yacht Club hotel. Most of the resorts offer free showings of Disney films on an evening you can see which resorts and their the schedules here.

We also loved popping down to the Boardwalk bakery to pick up breakfast and then sitting by the lake watching the ducks go about their business whilst we enjoyed out bagels.

We also went horseback riding and on our wedding night we ate at Victoria & Albert's then headed down to the dock to watch the fireworks. It was simply magical :cloud9:

With Disney romance really doesn't have to be grand expensive gestures, it's the lovely little things that you'll cherish and remember forever. :lovestruc:
