Hello all! My new hubbie and I will be traveling to Universal for our honeymoon March 7-11. We were supposed to do Disney at the Dolphin (I got a wonderful corporate rate of 151/night here) but due to all the reading I have been doing on these boards (and of course I am a HUGE fan of Harry Potter!!), we changed our plans! I got an AP rate of $265/night March 7-10. I have a few questions...
1. PBH AP rate did not have a king bed for March 11, so we will be staying offsite for our last night ( at a cheaper hotel...I usually do this anyways since you just check out at 11 am on your last day at most hotels, and you don't get to enjoy the room the following day). I CANNOT decided which hotel to chose! I am stuck between the Doubletree, The Point, or the Sheraton that is closest by. They are all around the same price (around $100/night or so). I am NOT picky...I just want a place that is clean and does not smell or have bugs lol! Our flight does not leave MCO til 9pm, so we will be spending our last day at the pool/citywalk.
2. I *think* we should be ok with crowds in the parks for our first few days, I am judging this by the fact that the rooms in most hotels I have looked at while planning are mostly starting to fill up on the night of the 11th...is that weekend when the spring break crowd officially pours in??
3. Weather....I am hoping for mid to high 70's during the day....is this what we should expect??
Thank you SO MUCH to everybody for all your help!! I stayed at RPR years ago and LOVED IT so I am really looking forward to PBH!! I will be posting a full trip report with *pics* to help out all those other people like me who have a really hard time dishing out over $200/night for a room on vacation! It is a special occasion so that's how I justified it to myself...also we will NEED FOTL! I hate lines!!! Thanks!!
